Historical custom: Teng started in the Yellow Emperor and named his brother Teng Cuo's uncle Teng Guo.

Tengzhou was a land of three countries and five cities in ancient times, and was famous as a good country.

In the Tang Dynasty, Li Yuanying was sealed in Tengzhou and later named Wang Teng. Tengzhou built an attic named "Wang Tengge" (destroyed). Later, Wang Teng Li Yuanying was demoted to Nanchang and built the famous "Wang Tengting Pavilion" in Nanchang because he missed his hometown. Nanchang Pavilion and Langzhong Wang Teng Pavilion are both in Tengzhou.

In A.D. 1 184, Tengzhou was established in Jin Dynasty, which was the earliest origin of Tengzhou's name.

Tengzhou is also the birthplace of China Flying Tigers and Tengxing Team.

Tengzhou, named after the spring in China, borders Yimeng Mountain in the east, Xuzhou in northern Jiangsu in the south, Weishan Lake in the west and the hometown of Confucius and Mencius in the north.

Tengzhou is one of the 76 fourth-tier cities in China, with an area of 1.485 square kilometers and a total population of 1.7 million. The city is located in the south of Shandong Province, in the alluvial plain of Huanghuai, overlooking Longshan, and the Jinghe River passes through the city and is connected with the beautiful Weishan Lake. Beijing-shanghai railway, Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, Beijing-Taiwan expressway, Cao Lan expressway, 104 national highway and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal run through the whole territory.
