Sanmao: Nothing can stop your yearning for freedom.

"Don't ask me where I come from, my hometown is far away, why am I wandering, wandering far away ..." San Mao wrote this song "Olive Tree", which aroused the dreams of many enthusiastic young people to walk around. However, it is this touching melody that has been banned from singing in Taiwan Province Province for more than ten years, because the authorities absurdly think that the "distant place" in the lyrics refers to the mainland.

Many people had a wandering dream when they were young, but few people, like Sanmao, exiled themselves and went far away to find their dreams for the birds flying in the sky and the olive trees in their dreams.

The Sahara Desert, which covers almost the whole of North Africa, is destined to become a paradise on earth where Sanmao pursues love and freedom. "Every time I miss you, a grain of sand falls from the sky, and the Sahara has been formed since then." In Ayong, a small town in the Sahara desert, Sanmao married Jose, a Spanish man who loved her for many years. At the simple wedding, Jose gave Sanmao a pair of pale camel skulls as a wedding gift. The simplicity of this kind of love is difficult for the bride dressed in church to understand.

Sanmao and Jose enjoy the Sahara, which is short of material and difficult to drink. They nailed tables with wooden boards that packed coffins, used old car tires as cushions, and colored soda bottles with patterns and colors similar to India. The dilapidated houses made of hollow bricks have gradually become "the most beautiful home in the desert".

Sometimes, in order to make a living, San Mao and Jose will go fishing at the seaside. They managed to get a little money, but they were eating fish that had just been sold at the price of 12 times in a restaurant in national hotel, and they were still fighting to pay for their friends.

A diving accident in 1979 made Jose leave Sanmao forever, and Sanmao finally left the Sahara desert where he lived for nearly 6 years. However, every time I watch The Story of the Sahara, I always have the impulse to travel around the world with Jose.

199165438+1October 4th, Sanmao, who was only 48 years old, passed away in the form of nylon stockings tying her neck and became a blue lotus in the hearts of countless people. As early as 13 years old, Sanmao committed suicide by caesarean section for a simple reason: she couldn't wait to grow up until she was desperate.

Death is perhaps San Mao's best work. No one is as pure as San Mao, who can freely put down his own words, thoughts and even his own life. This is the most persistent pursuit and yearning for freedom.
