Cang Shi (1922——) was originally named Xu Changshuo. Nantong county, Jiangsu province.

Since 1929, he has been studying in primary school and junior high school in his hometown.

From 65438 to 0938, he abandoned school to join the anti-Japanese propaganda and condolence group.

From 65438 to 0939, he studied at Nantong Normal University and was a student of resisting Japan and saving the nation.

194 1 joined the new fourth army and studied at Lu Xun college of literature and art in central China. From 65438 to 0942, he served as the monitor of the art department of Lu Xun Art Troupe of the New Fourth Army, and in the same year he was transferred to the Art Troupe of the Tenth Brigade of the New Fourth Army as an art teacher.

1943 to 1945, successively served as deputy head, head and general manager of the Propaganda Department of Jiangsu Subei Party Committee, Huaihai Lianshui Art Troupe, Ye Ting Art Troupe and Subei Art Troupe Training Team. And edited the book "Research on Popular Patterns".

1945 studied in the Party School of Yanfu District Party Committee, 1946 joined China.

1946, successively served as editor and art director in the Propaganda Department of Yanfu District Committee, Huazhong Xinhua Daily and Huazhong Xinhua Bookstore.

1963 transferred to People's Pictorial to work in Art editor.

1957 works in People's Daily.

1978, head of editorial department of People's Pictorial, member of party group and deputy editor-in-chief.

1979 edited the large-scale color picture album Scenery of China to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which was recognized as the best picture album of China scenery in the 30 years since liberation. Published at home and abroad, won the first prize of editing and design issued by the State Administration of Foreign Languages. In the same year, he participated in the 4th Literature Congress of China and the 3rd Congress of China Photographers Association, was elected as the executive director of China Photographers Association, and served as the editorial board of China Photography 198 1 year. In the same year, he was transferred to the general manager of China Advertising Union Corporation and concurrently served as the first president of the All-China Advertising Society.

1984 concurrently serves as the vice president and secretary general of China photographic society for the aged.

1985 concurrently serves as honorary chairman of Great Wall Advertising Photography Company.
