The brightness of moonlight is extremely low, so it takes a long time to expose when shooting the moon scene. However, because the earth is constantly rotating, long-term exposure will make the moon in the picture move and form a light band. So generally speaking, shooting the moon scene uses two exposures.

Attention when shooting:

1, general cameras are equipped with multiple exposure devices. Double exposure method is to make two exposures on one film. For the first time, the scene was exposed according to the brightness of the ground scene, and the scene in moonlight was photographed, leaving the position of the moon above the picture. Then make a second exposure on this negative, and the moon will shine in its original position. When shooting the moon for the second time, if you want to enlarge the image of the moon, you can use a long focal length lens. In addition, because the moon is brighter than the scenery in moonlight, the exposure time should be readjusted when shooting the moon. If the aperture is used to shoot the moon scene for 2 or 30 seconds, the aperture can be used to shoot the moon alone for 2 or 2-3 seconds.

2. If the outline of the moon is shot too clearly, the effect is not good. So sometimes the moon is deliberately blurred, which has a halo effect.

3. You can also use two films to shoot the scenery under the moon and moonlight respectively, and then overlap and enlarge the two films. The position of the moon and the scenery under the moonlight should be arranged.

4, you can also use a negative, long exposure. If there are clouds in the sky, you can expose the scenery when the moon is covered, or you can shoot the moon after the moon is out of the clouds. You can also cover the moon with your hands during a long exposure according to the brightness of the ground scenery, and then take your hands off when the exposure reaches the last two seconds, so that the moon can be exposed on the negative.

You need to use a tripod to shoot the moon scene. In addition, when exposed for a long time, the failure of the reciprocity law of photosensitive film should be considered, and the exposure should be appropriately increased to compensate. If you use color film, you should choose long exposure color film. When exposed, because the reciprocity law is invalid, in addition to increasing exposure to compensate, filters need to be added to compensate for color.

6. When shooting with color film, you can choose light color film, the color is blue, which can render the moonlight atmosphere.
