Historical evolution of Shijing town

There is a huge stone on Shijingshan Mountain, which is as smooth as a mirror and can reflect clouds. County annals called it "Shijing Hankong", which was formerly known as one of the twelve scenic spots in Huaining. Shijing Township is named after Shijing Mountain.

At the beginning of the People's Republic of China, it belonged to Ganlu Township in Gaohe District and Longxiang Township in Hongzhen District. Shijing Township was founded in 1952, Yueshan Commune in 1958, Shijing Commune in 1962 and reformed in 1984.
