If all these need to be corrected by naked eyes, everyone's color recognition ability will seriously affect the adjusted color, and everyone can't achieve "unified standard" color correction.

SpyderCheckr's principle of color correction is actually very simple. First of all, you must take a picture of a color plate in the light environment where you are currently shooting, and then input it into the computer. SpyderCheckr software automatically generates a Lightroom color style file according to the preset color values, and then applies the same style file to all photos taken in the same environment to complete color correction.

Sounds ridiculous, right?

I thought so at first, but I didn't know this thing until I actually used it ... this thing is really amazing! As long as the color of this article looks normal, it all passes? There are two ways to use the SpyderCheckr application. The first way is to use "Edit in Application" directly in Lightroom, and then click SpyderCheckr to let Lightroom automatically transfer photos for processing. The second is to convert the RAW file with full color version into JPG first, and then open the photo with SpyderCheckr.

Because my Lightroom has been unable to transfer photos to spyderckr smoothly for some reasons, I used the second method, which directly converted photos into JPG and then imported them into spyderckr. If you encounter the same problem after buying it, please don't waste time trying Lightroom. Direct shifting will save time.

After opening the photo, you will see that in addition to your photo, a 24/48 color box will appear on the program screen, which just corresponds to the color order of the color channels. What you need to do is to adjust the size of the color blocks (hold down the blue arrow around the photo and drag it inward to scale the color blocks) until these color blocks can be perfectly arranged and correspond to all the color blocks on the color channel shown in the above picture, so that the program can automatically generate the set value of the corrected color.

After ensuring that all color blocks are aligned with the same * * * block on the color swatch, click Save Calibration. At this time, SpyderCheckr will automatically compare the color value of the color block in the photo with the standard color preset by the program to generate a special photo correction preset module for Lightroom, and then you can directly apply the standard for restoring the color of the photo in Lightroom. Since the default module will appear in the user preset on the left side of the Lightroom interface, please set a name that you can find quickly.

In addition, if your color calibration results are to be used in other programs such as Photoshop, please switch the "Save to Lightroom" above to other options when saving the calibration.

After saving, please restart your Lightroom, and then you will find the color correction module you just made at the bottom of the default module list on the left. Find the photo you want to correct directly, and then double-click the module. Lightroom will automatically adjust the color of the photo according to the value of the module.

As can be seen from the above figure, after the preset module is enabled, all the values in Lightroom's "HSR/ Color/Black and White" project have been changed. These values are the settings for adjusting photos to the correct color. But you will find that the photo is still yellow after adjustment by this module, because although the color tone is correct, the color temperature has not been adjusted yet.

Next, we need to use the automatic color temperature function of Lightoom to correct the color temperature of the photo. This part is very simple. Please click the "eyedropper" pattern on the upper right, and then click the gray * * * block in the color swatch (please click the fourth block in the gray line). Lightroom will automatically correct the color temperature of the photo according to the color there.

After color correction and color temperature correction, a photo can easily complete color correction and return to the most standard color! In the whole process, except that it is complicated to make a color correction module at first, the color of a photo can be fixed in only two steps. After that, if you still take other photos under the same lighting settings, you only need to correct one photo first, and then synchronize the color correction results to all photos with Lightroom's synchronization settings, so you can solve the color correction problem of all photos instantly!

After that, slightly adjust the exposure value, saturation/vividness, sharpness and other values, and you can get beautiful photos with correct color, vividness and saturation!

In addition, in order to let the user put the color sample into the shooting scene without an assistant, a very practical standard 1/4 tripod screw hole is designed at the bottom of spyderckr, so that the user can directly lock spyderckr on the tripod and put it into the scene without worrying that the color sample will shake or fall to the ground.
