Why is Yunju Temple called "Dunhuang in Beijing"?

Yunju Temple Stone Sutra has become the largest existing stone tripitaka in China. The preservation of the Millennium inscription has become a rare feat in the history of world culture, even comparable to the Great Wall of Wan Li and the majestic Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and it is definitely a rare and precious cultural heritage in the world.

Yunju Temple not only has stone scriptures and Millennium stupa, but also treasures the Buddhist relics. And it is the only relic in the world that is not enshrined in the tower, but in the cave. There are more than 22,000 paper scrolls in Yunju Temple, all of which are engraved and handwritten in Ming Dynasty, including Tibetan in southern Ming Dynasty, Tibetan in northern Ming Dynasty and single-engraved Buddhist scriptures. Among them, the Huayan Sutra of Dafang Guangfo was written by Zuhui, a monk of Mingren Temple, who stabbed the blood on the tip of the tongue. It is known as the "True Sutra of Tongue Blood" and is particularly precious.

Shijingshan is 450 meters above sea level, and there are nine Tibetan scriptures caves on the mountainside, among which Lei Yin Cave is as wide as a temple, and most of its walls are inlaid with scriptures carved by Jingwan in his early years.
