What is the difference between ps and cad drawing?
Bitmap-it is composed of many small pixels, and its imaging principle is similar to that of a monitor or a TV, so the display of objects is very realistic, but it will be jagged and distorted when enlarged, and the richer the color of the picture, the larger the file size will be. PHOTOSHOP is the most popular software for dealing with bitmaps.
Vector diagram-is a picture pattern recorded by mathematical formula, such as engineering drawing, cartoon image and so on. The characteristics are: the file is very small (just some formulas), and it will not be distorted when enlarged. But because of this, vector graphics are not enough to deal with those natural object images, and the color selection is less than bitmap.
The popular softwares for processing vector diagrams are AutoCAD (for engineering drawing), CorelDRAW (advertising, typesetting), Illustrator (with the best effect, often used in animation design) and so on.
