About portrait photography, you need to master the most basic lighting methods.
2, 45 side light: usually the position of the main light, because of the stereoscopic effect of strong light and shadow, the photo can have a sense of medium depth.
3, 90 side light: the photo has a dramatic effect, and the main light is usually not placed in this position when shooting a regular portrait.
4. Backlight: Put the lamp behind the subject and face the camera. It will create a halo around the model's hair.
5. Background light: Put the light behind the subject and face the background light to take a silhouette photo.
The normal position of the camera is that the lens is flush with the eyes of the subject.
1. The function of the main lamp is to provide main lighting to determine the patterns of the strong light part and the shadow part.
2. The basic position of the main light is at the side with an angle of 45 with the main direction. And its horizontal position is usually two or three feet higher than the camera. Proper placement of the main light will produce two obvious areas with light and shadow.
3. Create a triangular bright area on the face away from the lamp. The upper part of the triangle should start from the eyes and end in a position parallel to the lower part of the nose. The shadow under the nose extends from the bottom of the nose to the outer edge of the lips.
When the main light is too close to the camera, the bright triangle area will not be displayed. The light will illuminate the whole cheek downward.
When the main light is too far from one side, the bright triangle area will disappear, and the side far from the light will be in the shadow.
If the main light is too high, the triangle will extend down to the lower part of the nose.
If the main light is too low, the triangle will shrink.
The correct position of the shadow will extend obliquely from the bottom of the nose to the outer edge of the lips.
The main light is too close to the camera and the shadow of the nose is near the nose.
The main light is too far from one side, and the shadow of the nose is distributed on the left side, but it does not extend to the lips.
When the main light is too high, the shadow of the nose will extend downward and reach the middle of the lips.
The main light is too low, and the shadow of the nose will cover half of the face.
Function: Soften the shadow to make the shadow part show details. Help add divine light. Add some light to the shadow to make the details of the shadow stand out. However, it is forbidden to use auxiliary lamps with power greater than or equal to the main lamp.
Location: Put it as close to the camera as possible, almost as high as the camera. Put it opposite the main light. When placing the auxiliary lamp, make sure that the shadow of the camera is not projected into the picture, and make the lamp higher than the camera. The auxiliary light should be far away from the main body.
Effect: If you need an effect with almost no shadow and contrast, you can use an auxiliary lamp with the same intensity as the main light. On the other hand, if you want to take a photo of Gao Fancha with a deep shadow, you should use weak auxiliary light or not use it at all. In most cases, we will pursue natural effects. To this end, we can use an auxiliary lamp with one-third power of the main lamp. The light ratio of 4: 1 and the light ratio of 3: 1 are the most commonly used by professional photographers when shooting portraits, still lives, advertisements or products. That is, the distance between the auxiliary lamp and the main body is twice that between the main lamp and the main body.
If the auxiliary light is too strong, the shadow determined by the main light will disappear.
When the auxiliary light is too weak, the edge of the ghost is stiff and there is no detail.
Location: aim above the head and behind the hairline.
Function: Make the hair have texture and shadow, and increase the shimmer of the subject's head.
Black hair is suitable for strong lights, and golden yellow is suitable for weak lights.
