Cai Jiwei's introduction

Cai Jiwei, male, born in Qu County, Zhejiang Province, China, 1929, is a film director and photographer. He is good at shooting magnificent scenes with delicate artistic treatment and vivid characterization. He has served as the head of the Propaganda Group of the Military and Political University of the Third Corps, the assistant, deputy photographer, photographer and director of Bayi Film Studio, and the fourth and fifth directors of the Chinese Film Association. He has made films such as Seahawk, Huaishuzhuang and Sparkling Red Star. Co-directed and filmed films including Long Walk. Sidu Chishui (co-directed and filmed) 1984 won the special prize of the 4th China Golden Rooster Award. Song of the Chinese Revolution, as the chief photographer, 1986 won the second China People's Liberation Army Literature and Art Award.
