Is there any difference between artificial light and natural light?

1, different light sources

The basic light sources of artificial light are floodlights, flashlights and spotlights, which are the light produced by people with the help of foreign objects.

The main light source of natural light is the sun, which usually includes direct light from the sun on sunny days, diffuse light from the sky on cloudy days, rainy days and snowy days, moonlight and starlight.

2. The influencing factors are different.

Artificial light is mainly affected by the types of light sources and light distribution methods, while natural light is affected by weather, occlusion, time and season.

3. Different characteristics

Artificial light has the characteristics of continuous lighting, unlike the natural light emitted by the sun, which sometimes disappears with the rising and setting of the sun, so artificial light has more flexibility and creative space than natural light, and can be photographed everywhere. However, the artificial light is influenced by the light source, and its irradiation range is limited, so it is necessary to adjust the irradiation range of the light source by polishing the disc.

Compared with artificial light, natural light lacks flexibility and cannot be adjusted and controlled by photographers at will, but the illumination range of natural light can be extended indefinitely. With the passage of time and the change of weather, the colors and atmosphere produced are beyond the reach of artificial light.
