Can you check the SLR?

SLR cameras, like laptops, can't be checked, but it's not good for them and it's not recommended to check.

The SLR camera that you take with you on the plane is a valuable thing, so you should take it with you, and you can't check it in your luggage, because luggage check-in is a process that you can't control. When you encounter an expensive and heavy item like a SLR camera, on the one hand, it is easy to throw it in the baggage conveyor belt; on the other hand, the baggage is usually dumped at will and easily broken, so you can only carry it through the security check harder before you can get on the plane for safekeeping. If it is an earlier film camera, it is best to buy a lead bag to prevent security X-rays, wrap the film well, and then pass the theoretically "film-safe" X-ray machine.

If you take a computer with you, you can buy a bigger shoulder-mounted camera bag, and even the computer can be put together. Generally speaking, don't bring two bags, two ones over 20 inches.
