What material is the bronchoscope insertion tube made of?

The fiber bronchoscope insertion tube is made of PE.

Bronchoscope is suitable for observation of lung lobe, segmental and sub-segmental bronchial lesions, biopsy sampling, bacteriology and cytology examination, and can be used with TV system for photography, teaching and dynamic recording. This bronchoscope is equipped with a biopsy sampling mechanism, which can help detect early lesions and can perform polyp removal and other internal surgeries. It is a good precision instrument for bronchial and lung disease research, postoperative examination, etc.

The scope of use of bronchoscopy can be divided into three categories:

(1) Diagnostic indications: (A) Patients with unexplained hemoptysis and unexplained chronic cough , those with unexplained hoarseness of voice, and those with unexplained diaphragm rise. (B) The basis for diagnosis and staging of lung cancer patients, using bronchoscopy to perform biopsy to obtain tissue diagnosis. (C) Diagnosis of benign bronchial lesions: acute or chronic bronchitis, bronchial tuberculosis, respiratory inhalation injury, tracheal or bronchial stenosis, suspected bronchoesophageal fistula. (D) Diagnosis of diffuse lung disease.

(2) Treatment indications: (A) Remove foreign bodies in the trachea, (B) Extract endotracheal secretions and blood clots. (C) Use a laser device to remove intrabronchial tumors or granulation tissue. (D) Patients with tracheal stenosis can undergo dilation or endotracheal stent placement.

(3) Research indications.

The time required for the inspection report: 5-7 days for biopsy and cytology examination; one week for bacterial and mold culture results, and 8 weeks for tuberculosis culture results.
