Where was the light of the White Pagoda taken?

Light of the White Pagoda was filmed in Beijing.

The film Light of the White Pagoda is directed by, starring Xin and Huang Yao, and starring Tian Zhuangzhuang. Beijing is the main location of the story "Light of the White Pagoda", and the streets, buildings and other regional symbols around the White Pagoda of Miaoying Temple are distinct.

The story focuses on the life of Gu, a food journalist: Gu, a former poet and divorced, turned to be a food journalist. He recently learned from his brother-in-law that his father, who was kicked out of the house on suspicion of hooliganism, lived in Beidaihe.

Gu's partner, food photographer Ouyang, is also from Beidaihe. They have different personalities, but they have a crush on each other. At the same time, Gu is also secretly investigating his father's recent situation and trying to restore the truth of that year.

The setting of the hero and heroine in the film is full of opposites, one introverted and the other clever. It is not surprising that such two people derive their feelings from being partners, and the ending of the two people is also expected.

Creative inspiration

The inspiration for the creation of Light of the White Pagoda comes from a chance encounter directed by Lv Zhang. Long before filming the movie "Liuchuan" (long confession), the director went to Beijing to discuss the production of the crew. One day, the director took his staff to a Yanbian cold noodle shop in Xisi, and after eating, he went to the vicinity of Baita Temple, which he often visited when he was a child.

When boarding the balcony on the second floor of the nearest cafe, director Zhang Law was surprised to find that the White Pagoda was so depressing. Perhaps because of his perspective and distance, he never noticed this when he was a child. Thus, he gave birth to a story about Beijing and Baita.

Regarding the image of the White Pagoda, the director explained: "Beijing is a square city and it is not easy to get lost. It's hard for people to find their true inner path. Beijing has such a circular upward tower, which can give people a sense of comfort. "
