How to adjust local fill light in the later stage of mobile phone photography?

1. Open the original image, and copy one layer by the way (you can process it directly on the original image without copying).

2. Create a new layer on the copied layer, fill it with white, set the layer mode to "soft light", press Alt+layer mask icon, and add a black mask to the layer.

3. Use a white brush (brush hardness is 0, opacity and flow are set to about 20% respectively) to slowly smear on the left side of the character where it needs to be brightened until the final effect is completed.
