What does fpv mode mean?
Air FPV is a kind of remote-controlled aircraft, which has become more and more popular in recent years. It involves installing a small camera and an analog video transmitter on a remote-controlled aircraft and flying through real-time video downlink (usually displayed on video goggles or portable displays). FPV became more and more popular in the late 2000 s and early 20 10 s.
This is one of the fastest-growing activities involving remote-controlled aircraft, and it has formed a small but growing industry, providing products specially designed for FPV use.
FPV aircraft are often used for aerial photography and video recording, and videos of FPV flights can be found on many popular video websites (such as YouTube and Vimeo). To this end, many FPV pilots use the high-definition car camera of the second light aircraft, such as GoPro camera, and its standard-definition video link.
equipment
FPV is equipped with two main parts: airborne part and ground part (usually called ground station). The basic FPV system includes an airplane camera, an analog video transmitter, a video receiver and a ground display.
Usually, more advanced settings will add specialized hardware, including a screen with GPS to display navigation and flight data, a stabilization system and autopilot equipment with "return" function-allowing the plane to fly back to the starting point automatically in case of signal loss. Another common function is to add pan and tilt functions to the camera through the server.
When you combine video goggles with a "head tracking" device, you can create a truly immersive first-person experience, as if the pilot were actually sitting in the cockpit of a remote-controlled plane.
The receiving equipment is usually called "ground station" and usually consists of an analog video receiver (matching the transmitter frequency on the plane) and observation equipment. More complex ground stations usually include devices to record received images and more complex antennas to obtain greater range and clarity.
