What are the symptoms of dislocation of hip joint?

Symptoms of dislocation of hip joint:

1, hip swelling and pain after trauma, limited activity.

2. Posterior dislocation is characterized by hip flexion, adduction, internal rotation and shortening.

3, anterior dislocation, hip abduction and external rotation deformity.

4. Central dislocation, limb shortening deformity and limited hip joint activity.

Hip dislocation is a serious injury, mostly caused by direct violence. If not handled properly, it will lead to avascular necrosis of femoral head.

Extended data:

Causes of dislocation of hip joint:

1, posterior dislocation: posterior dislocation is caused by flexion and adduction of hip joint. Violence from the long axis of femur can tear ligament, and the femoral head breaks through the joint capsule backwards, resulting in posterior dislocation.

2. Central dislocation: If the hip joint is in flexion and slight adduction, the same external force can fracture the top and rear edge of acetabulum and dislocate the femoral head backward. If the hip joint is in the middle position or slightly spread out, violence can cause acetabular fracture, and the femoral head moves along the fracture to the pelvic cavity, which is called central dislocation, which is rare.

3. Anterior dislocation: If the hip joint is abduction, the greater trochanter of femur collides with the upper edge of acetabulum, and abduction continues as the fulcrum, and violent impact along the long axis of femoral head may lead to anterior dislocation. Femoral head can be left in obturator or pubic crest. Anterior dislocation can also occur when squatting, leg abduction and cave collapse.
