Shooting skills of street portraits

I love street shooting, and of course it also includes taking portraits in the street. Shooting strangers in the street can make people feel a little timid, but after several experiences, they will become addicted. Here are some tips to help you get started more easily.

1. Take your camera.

Take a camera with you, but don't carry the whole camera bag or tripod like a traveler. Just have a camera at hand. Walking down the street without a camera in my hand is a bad feeling for me.

2. lens

You should have a good shot, and they can create an influential photo. I like 50mm f/ 1.4 or f/ 1.8, and 85mm f/ 1.4 or f/ 1.8. They are small and light, and the large aperture can effectively separate people from the background.

Don't use flash.

Don't use the flash. If necessary, high ISO sensitivity can be used. Personally, I think the built-in flash will ruin a photo.

secure permission

Before shooting strangers, you should ask them if they can and set up the camera. The other party agrees, immediately raise the camera and take 3-5 photos, then thank you and leave. It's simple.

take a photo without permission

If you shoot without the other person's knowledge, remember to turn off the focus assist light. If the other party finds out, it will not only ruin the other party's mood, but also ruin your photo.
