Several methods of coloring marker pen

Hand-drawing is an important professional compulsory course for students who are engaged in architecture, clothing display design, window design, home soft decoration design, space floral design, fine arts, gardens, environmental art, photography, industrial design, visual communication and other professional studies. Let's take a look at several ways to color markers.

1, color overlapping drawing method

Color overlap is a common expression of marks. Water-based markers have different effects after coloring. By overlapping, the depth of color increases and the color is richer. When representing the transition effect of an interface, two or three colors with the same color and similar bright gray should be selected. Because the marker is made of transparent watercolor, the lightest color should be drawn first, and then the darker color should be drawn in turn, and the bright color should be covered with dark color. For example, red and blue overlap will appear purple, and yellow and blue overlap will appear green.

2. Full coating and half coating of the interface

The interface facing us is the facade. When it forms a certain angle with our face, it will create a perspective space. There are two ways to color the interface. One is full drawing, that is, with the help of a ruler with a marker, the whole interface is arranged one by one. If the scale of the rendering is small, it should be hand-painted. Marker renderings pay great attention to the effect of brush strokes. Don't give up halfway when laying colors. In order to control the edges of both sides neatly, it can be covered with paper. The second is half painting. Half-painting does not completely draw an interface. It can tile a part, and then draw a few free and easy broken lines from coarse to fine with the face and tip of marker pen, and add the outline of ink line to give people a full painting effect. Half-painting effect is the most widely used in the performance of marker renderings to form a mirror effect of receiving light, reflecting light and emitting light. Half-painting can draw this effect on a white background, or it can be done after the whole painting to produce rich color effects.

Step 3: Wet painting

Wet painting can make clear strokes soft, produce a certain watercolor effect, soften the connection of colors and enhance the aesthetic form of markers. Through repeated practice in recent years, the author summarizes the expression methods of wet painting. First, dry coating, then wet coating. After drawing the content of the performance, brush the water on the part that needs to be expressed with your finger or brush. Water-based color will ooze when it meets water. By controlling the size of water, the effect of wet painting can be achieved, so that the color infiltrated by water has a fresh and dripping feeling. The second is to wet the paper first and then color it. After adding water to the paper, the paper will absorb the water with a paper towel, and then draw the part to be displayed while wetting, so as to produce a more moist effect, which can naturally connect the two colors and fully show the spatial effect. An effect drawing has both the brushwork of dry painting and the charm of wet painting, which produces an aesthetic form of artistic works and will add endless expression space to the marker effect drawing.

Expansion: What are the techniques of marker painting?

(1) Markers are divided into two types: flat head and round head. The front and side of the flat head are painted with colors of different widths, which can give play to its shape characteristics and form its own unique style when carrying pens.

(2) The marker pen is not easy to be modified after being colored. Generally it should be shallow first and then deep. When coloring, you don't have to spread the color all over the picture. If you focus on local depiction, the picture will be more lively and vivid. Markers with the same color will appear deeper when superimposed, but the effect of repeated superposition is not obvious and it is easy to dye.

(3) Like pencil drawing, the pen holder of marker pen can be divided into freehand and tool, which should be selected according to different scenes and object shapes, textures and performance styles, as shown in the figure.

(4) Water-based markers can be dipped in water with a brush (it is difficult to clean), and oily markers can be washed off with a pen or cotton ball dipped in toluene.

(5) The brushwork and interest of marker pen are pleasing to the eye, but expensive. You can dip the oil painting pen and chalk in watercolor paint, use a ruler to transport the pen, and you can also get some fun from the marker.
