Important activities of Xinjiang Photographers Association

After the reform and opening up, Xinjiang artistic photography was the product of the group trend of thought in the 1980s. In the 1990s, it gradually turned to individual exploration, and a number of outstanding photographers emerged. Zhao Cheng 'an and Li Xueliang won the highest prize for photography in China.

In the early 1990s, Zhao Chengan published large-scale picture books of Junggar Basin and Tarim Basin. 1993 The 4th issue of China Photographers Association held a slide show of Zhao Chengan's photographic works, and China Photography released the minutes of the slide show and 13 Zhao Chengan's works in the "Today's Topics" column. 1999 was hired by China Photography as a columnist of Expert Classroom and published his photographic works continuously. In 2002, Zhao Cheng 'an published a large-scale picture album of his representative work "The Land of Xinjiang". In 2002, China published more than 20 of his works and 29 pages of interviews. The highest award of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee and Government: Tianshan Literature and Art Award

The "Tianshan Literature and Art" Award is the highest provincial award established by the Party Committee and People's Government of the autonomous region in the literary and art circles of Xinjiang, which was established in 2002.
