Introduce an old street or an old building in Qingdao.
In the early days of Qingdao, there were three suburban roads from the urban area to the suburbs, one was Liu Zhan Road from Zhanshan Village to Liu Qinghe River, the other was Tailiu Road from Taidong Town to Liushutai, and the other was Liusi Road from Sifang to Liuting. The first two roads lead to Laoshan Mountain, but Liusi Road was once the main road leading to other places in Qingdao.
Liu's thinking today is different from that in the early days. Its starting point is no longer Sifang, but Sifang Beiling, and its end point is Loushan Road, not Liuting. The whole road is divided into three sections.
From Sifang Beiling to Shengli Bridge is called Liu Si South Road. There used to be two villages, Shuiqinggou and Yantan. In the early years of Qing Dynasty, there was a "literary prison" in Jimo that shocked the whole country: Jiang sued for engraving anti-Qing poems and was arrested, involving hundreds of people, and Gu, a famous thinker and scholar, was arrested. Most people were released, and Huang Pei was put to death and buried in Shuiqinggou.
The Germans set up a silk reeling company in Cangkou (see photo), and the Japanese also set up a number of textile mills in Qingdao, and built a Toyota Iron Works in Shuiqinggou to maintain machines and produce spare parts for textile mills. 1946 Toyota Iron Works was changed to Qingdao No.1 Textile Machinery Factory of China Textile Corporation. After liberation, it was called Qingdao Textile Machinery Factory, which was the second largest factory besides Qingdao Sifang Machinery Factory.
There are two textile mills on Liu Si South Road. One is the Toyota Cotton Mill built in 1935. At the beginning, China had 73 Japanese employees and 2,000 workers, with 44,500 yarns and 600 looms. After liberation, it became the fourth cotton mill in China. 1. Shanghai Textile Co., Ltd., also known as Shanghai Cotton Mill, was founded in 1934. At the beginning, there were 54 Japanese employees and 2,254 workers from China, with 47,900 yarns and 800 looms. After liberation, it became China No.5 Cotton Factory.
Several factories have special railway lines extending from Shalingzhuang Station, so a Dasha Road was built between Shalingzhuang Station and Dashuikaigou Station.
Licun River is the dividing line between sifang district and Licang District. The river is wide, but there is no water on weekdays. There was only one overflow bridge for decades. In summer, when there is heavy rain, the river rises to a few feet deep, pedestrians and vehicles can't pass, and roads are interrupted. Moreover, due to the rapid flow of water, there are many casualties. After liberation, a bridge called Shengli Bridge was built here, and the Institute of Chemical Technology was built on Zhengzhou Road at the southern end, which is now Qingdao University of Science and Technology.
After crossing the river, Cangkou Airport was the earliest airport in Qingdao. Several villages and buildings were demolished to build the airport, and the tomb and memorial archway of Wang Yi, the mentor and assistant minister of Yong Zhengdi in Qing Dynasty (the highest feudal official in Qingdao), were also moved to Dazaoyuan.
From Shengli Bridge North to Dejiang Road, it is Liu Si Middle Road, passing through Laocangkou. Cangkou used to be a satellite city in Qingdao because of inconvenient transportation. Cangkou people went to Qingdao as if they were in another city. The middle section of Liu Si Middle Road, once called Cangkou Avenue, is the commercial center of Cangkou, with shops in all walks of life.
There are also two textile mills in Liu Si Middle Road. One is the China Factory, which is Qingdao Branch of Shanghai Silk Spinning Co., Ltd. At the beginning, there were 3400 Japanese employees and 3400 Chinese employees, with 42200 yarns and 865 looms. After liberation, it was the sixth national cotton mill. In 1950s, the textile women workers in this factory created "Hao Jianxiu's Work Method", and Hao Jianxiu was named as a national model worker and representative of advanced workers.
The other is Fuji Cotton Mill, which initially had 26 Japanese employees, 65,438+0,800 workers from China, 36,5438+0,400 yarns and 600 looms. After liberation, it became the seventh cotton mill in China.
From Dejiang Road to Loushanguan is Liu Si North Road. During the period of 1957, Qingdao was planned as an industrial zone between Banqiaofang and Baisha River, steel mills, fertilizer plants and agricultural machinery plants were built, and roads were planned. Due to the Great Leap Forward and three years of natural disasters, this plan was not fully implemented. The original Liu train of thought was later rebuilt. The newly-built section from Loushan to the front of the steel mill was Liu Si North Road, and the original section to Liuting was once a part of Chongqing Road.
After the completion of Chongqing Road, National Highway 308 and Qingdao section of Yin Qing Expressway, vehicles entering and leaving Qingdao will take these three roads instead of four.
