How is organized pneumonia formed?

Chronic undifferentiated pneumonia will form organized pneumonia if there is a large amount of fibrous tissue hyperplasia.

According to the course of disease and the degree of systematization, it can be divided into three types:

1. Unresolved organic pneumonia: the edge of pneumonia focus is becoming clearer and clearer, with fibrous bands around it and pleural hypertrophy.

2. Organic pneumonia: the fibrosis is more obvious and the density is higher. A small translucent area can be seen in the focus of tomography, which represents bronchiectasis or the formation of a small pus cavity.

3. Inflammatory pseudotumor: round, oval or irregular mass with smooth or rough edge, high and uneven density, small translucent area or calcified shadow.

There may be no symptoms clinically, or chest pain, low fever, expectoration, etc. And chest film or chest X-ray film can show shadows with high plaque density.
