What are the characteristics of Ningwu Tianchi?

Tianchi was called Qilianchi in ancient times. In the Tang Dynasty, Tianchi Pastoral Supervisor was established here to feed the army horses for the imperial court, so it was also called Ma Yinghai. It is located in the north of Maying Village at the foot of Guancen Mountain at an altitude of 1954m, 20km southwest of Ningwu County, near Dongzhuang Village on the watershed between Sanggan River and Fenhe River. There are 15 natural lakes, including Tianchi Lake, Chiyuan Lake, Biwa Lake, Duck Lake, Xiaohaizi Lake, Dry Sea, Linggan Sea, Shuanghai Sea and Laoshihai Sea, with a length of 1.6km and a width of 1km, with a total area of about 4 square kilometers and an altitude of/kloc-. Aquatic animals such as grass carp, carp, crucian carp and silver carp live in the pool.

Tiandi Lake is surrounded by mountains, shaded by trees, and the lake is clear, just like a "crystal green gem inlaid on the top of the mountain". Tianchi was formed during the Cenozoic Quaternary Glacier Period, with a history of 3 million years. It is one of the three high mountain Tianchi Lake in China, which is rare in the world. In ancient times, it was called Qilian Pool or Qilian Park. Located at the eastern foot of Gongshuiling, 20km southwest of ningwu county, with an altitude of1954m. Tianchi Lake is also called "Mother Sea".

Tianchi first became a tourist attraction, which can be traced back to the Warring States Period about 2,300 years ago. In the Northern Wei Dynasty, Tianchi officially became a royal tourist attraction. According to legend, Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty once pierced seven fish with golden beads and put them into Tianchi to see if they could sneak into the Sanggan River. He also hit a flying whale in the pool with an arrow, both of which were later obtained in the Sanggan River hundreds of miles away. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Tianchi tourism reached its peak. Yang Di once built a magnificent Fenyang Palace around Tianchi. 15, Tang Zhenyuan set up the Royal sheep farm around Tianchi, herding 700,000 horses every year, so Tianchi is also called Ma Yinghai.

More than 2,000 years later, Tianchi still welcomes tourists from all directions with her beautiful light of "the sun never dries up, the rain never overflows, and it is as clear as a mirror".

With the continuous development of tourism, Tianchi, which was listed as the first of the eight ancient scenic spots in Ningwu by the ancients and known as "Tianchi Jinlian" or "Tianchi Xia Ying", has now been opened up as a provincial-level tourist attraction.

The earliest records of Tianchi Lake can be found in Shan Hai Jing and other works. Later, it was recorded in Zi Tong Zhi Jian, Sui Shu, Tang Shu, San Guan Zhi, Jin Wen and other ancient books. As early as in The Classic of Mountains and Seas, there were two Tianchi Lake, one of which is Ningwu Tianchi Lake, which has the most complete Quaternary glacial landform in China and has been a resort for summer sightseeing and hunting since ancient times. In midsummer, it is refreshing to bathe in the breeze by the Tianchi Lake and watch the beautiful scenery of Fenyuan Resort. Tianchi is in harmony with more than ten alpine lakes such as Chi Yuan, Pipa Sea, Duck Sea, Laoshihai, Liganhai, Waiganhai and Xiaohai.

Yuanhai is on the top of a mountain five kilometers north of Tianchi, surrounded by a natural barrier of stone walls, shaped like a jade plate, held high in the air, heroic and spirited, commonly known as "the high seas." A stone peak in the west of Chixi hangs on a cliff with a drop of 500 meters. Yuanhai is the birthplace of the Uighur River, with vast alpine pastures on both sides.

Pipa Sea is less than one kilometer away from Tianchi, which is more than ten meters higher than Tianchi. Shaped like a pipa, the water is clear and the clouds are light, and the distant mountains are reflected in the water. It is said that there is a kind of smurf bird. Whenever fallen leaves and branches float into the water, it flies out to keep the clear water forever.

Three kilometers from the east bank of Tianchi, there is an undulating golden sandbar. It is said that there is a village called South Zhuangzi buried below. Looking from a distance, it is more than 20 meters high, which is in sharp contrast with the green pasture.

On the hillside near Yuanhai and Pipa Sea, you can often see round tower-shaped stone piles, and thin layers of stone chips are weathered by hemp shale. Between Tianchi and Yuanhai, you can also see the ice mortar 3 million years ago.

Chi Yuan (also known as the high seas), which is accompanied by heaven and earth, has an area of 0.36 square kilometers, a water depth of about 15m and a water storage capacity of 5.4 million cubic meters. According to records, Tianchi water is "rainy, dry and clear as a mirror". Legend has it that whenever leaves and weeds fall on the lake, a ghost bird will fly near, so the lake is clear. Tianchi Lake has beautiful scenery and is rich in carp. In the hot summer, carp jumped out of the water, rippling and sparkling, and was called "Tianchi Brocade". Tianchi Lake attracts emperors, ministers and poets with its magical and charming scenery. In the fourth year of the Great Cause of Sui Dynasty (608), Yang Di Yang Guang toured and hunted in the north, and built a magnificent Fenyang official near Tianchi. In the 11th year of Great Cause (6 15), Emperor Yang Di took more than 100,000 women, children and officials to Tianchi for summer vacation and hunting, and enjoyed the scenery of Tianchi. At the banquet, Xue Daoheng, assistant minister of literature and history, improvised a poem, "Driving with Tianchi should be imperial edict": "If you go to the holy family all over the world, you will make the border slightly stronger. People are poor and look at it, dragging a flag for a thousand miles. Drive the giant to the blue sea, control the horse and practice the jade pool. Qu Puteng is foggy, and the deep waves are stormy. " Unfortunately, this palace was destroyed by Liu Wuzhou in the 13th year of the Great Cause of Sui Dynasty (6 17). This wonderful place with rippling blue waves was once a place where scholars and writers of past dynasties lingered. It is said that Ouyang Xiu and Fan Zhongyan both came here to enjoy the scenery and praised the beautiful scenery of Tianchi. Yuan Haowen, a poet in the Yuan Dynasty, left such a quatrain: "A rain of heaven and earth washed the atmosphere and made Jin Tang look around. If you don't go to the north top of Yunfeng, you really can't come to this mountain. " Although the ancient buildings of Tianchi were destroyed, the beautiful scenery of Tianchi was preserved with the sun and the moon. The local people cherish this sacred land and hold a traditional ancient temple fair on the bank of Tianchi Lake every year on June 15th of the lunar calendar. In recent years, all walks of life in ningwu county have raised funds to restore the prosperous Tang Dynasty on the shores of Tianchi Lake.

At that time, Yinghai Temple added yachts, cruise ships, fishing, landscape photography and other recreational facilities in Tianchi, newly planted pine and cypress forest belts, built roads leading to the lake, and launched tourism activities such as Luya Mountain, Fenyuanling Powder, Xiaokong Temple, Wanfo Cave, Wannian Ice House, Zhiguo Stone, Ning Wuguan Tower, and the Ancient Great Wall centering on the world famous places.
