Behind-the-scenes tidbits of wine merchants' luck

The filming of "The Luck of the Wine Merchants" was postponed for a whole year because the director and actress in the crew were pregnant and had children one after another. The last one is vera farmiga, who was only eight weeks pregnant at the end of filming.

In his spare time this year, Famega participated in Scorsese's Never Walkers.

The actor of the wine merchant in the film is the Belgian actor Jeremy Raynier. This is his first English conversation role.

This film is niki caro's third feature film, female directors, and participated in the Toronto Film Festival in 2009. Her first two works, Whale Rider and North Wind and Clouds, also participated in the Toronto Film Festival, and both of them were nominated for the Oscar.

The film is adapted from the novel of the same name published by New Zealand woman writer Elizabeth Knox 1998. This is her most famous work, which won the Deutz Novel Award, the Reader's Choice Award, the Best-seller Choice Award and the Montana New Zealand Book Award. At present, the novel has been translated into French, German, Norwegian, Spanish, Dutch and Hebrew.

One of the heroines in this film is Australian Kesha Rose Sebert Ross Sebert Caster-Hughes. She once appeared in niki caro's debut "Whale Rider" and was nominated for Best Actress at the age of 13.

The whole film was shot in Burgundy, a famous French wine producing area.
