Appreciation of couplets: chaotic mountains swallow the sunset, and the level is far away.

Swallow the sunset in chaos

Pingchou Jiaoyuan Peak

This couplet was built on the top of the south rock of the West Lake Mountain in Chaozhou. In the twelfth year of Tang Zhenyuan, Cheng Lisu was demoted to the imperial censor and Chaozhou secretariat, and advocated the construction in the tide.

The author of Pavilion Union is Mr. Wang Yankang, director of Shantou Taxation Bureau, a magistrate in the late Qing Dynasty and a magistrate in the early Republic of China. This couplet depicts the distant scenery at night. Couplets are written about abrupt peaks, rugged rocks and sunset. The concept of using the word "swallow" to vividly describe the dynamics of the sunset is wonderful. In the second couplet, Tao Jinming's poem "Returning to Tian She at the age of Guimao" said: "When the wind rises from the flat, good seedlings look forward to new ones." Wide and flat fields are rippling with the breeze in Xu Lai in the distance, and the word "horizontal" is written on the ridge. The word "Pingchou" is closely related to the theme of "viewing crops" in the exhibition hall.

The style of couplets is poetic, with personified rhetoric, which is difficult to write. Use the words "Swallow" and "Cross" to connect the chaotic mountain with the sunset, connect the flat land with the distant wind, and bring the scene to life. According to the semantics of Wang Jing 'an's "The Thorn on Earth", the realm lies in the word "swallow" and the realm lies in the word "horizontal". The rhetoric of this couplet is similar to that of Du Gongbu. "Tears in Flowers" and "Bird Whispering" have the same effect.

Unfortunately, the rhyme and antithesis of couplets are not harmonious, and the sentence pattern is "flat and even." It violates the basic principle of writing couplets, but because of its great significance, readers are always fascinated by its artistic conception, so they don't care about teaching its phonology, and it is still praised.
