Personal information and background of Cao Yu Why was Cao Yu sentenced?

Cao Yu, born on August 5th, 1974, graduated from Beijing Film Academy, majoring in feature film photography. He worked in Beijing Film Studio and worked as a photographer in Chinese mainland.

He was sentenced because:

Sebrina's husband, Cao Yu, was accused of breaking the law by the local authorities when he participated in "Paradise in the Army" directed by Doze Niu, and was taken to the Zuo Ying Naval Base in Kaohsiung, Taiwan Province. Regarding this case, Doze Niu pleaded guilty in court when he was questioned by the prosecution of Kaohsiung District Prosecutor's Office last year, and admitted that Cao Yu, a mainland photographer, had been smuggled to Zuo Ying Military Port to take photos. Therefore, the prosecution paid NT$ 200,000 bail at that time.

It is reported that in 20 13, when Taiwan Province director Doze Niu filmed Paradise in the Army, Sebrina's husband, Cao Yu, a famous photographer, was taken to Kaohsiung's Zuo Ying Naval Base by Doze Niu for landscape investigation.

Now that Doze Niu and Cao Yu have been charged, they may face up to five years' imprisonment. According to military sources, the filming content of the crew at that time was not confidential, but the behavior was illegal. Both Doze Niu and Cao Yu are involved in the crimes of "invading fort" and "forging documents" in the relevant laws and regulations of Taiwan Province Province.

Extended data:

On June 20 13, Doze Niu, known as "Doudao", was suspected of bringing Cao Yu into the naval Zuo Ying military port under a pseudonym and boarding the ship to investigate and shoot the scene. Taiwan Province's "Ministry of National Defense" Naval Command completed the investigation report of the whole case, and the whole case was transferred to Kaohsiung District Inspection Office for investigation in July for violating the Fortress Zone Law.

In February this year, the Kaohsiung District Inspection Office investigated and prosecuted Doze Niu and Cao Yu for violating the Fortress Zone Law.

The Kaohsiung District Court held its first session in March this year, summoning Doze Niu and Cao Yu, but only Doze Niu appeared in court, Cao Yu did not show up, and Doze Niu also pleaded guilty.

Doze Niu admitted that he didn't know the relevant laws and regulations in advance because of his ignorance and recklessness. His original intention was just to make a good film. "You shouldn't take Cao Yu into the area without approval. It's wrong."

The Kaohsiung District Court reconvened at 2: 30 pm on the 8th and summoned Cao Yu to appear in court. But by the time of registration, Cao Yu didn't show up and didn't ask for leave. The judge also found that Cao Yu had no entry record.

The presiding judge said that it was confirmed that Cao Yu had no entry record, but the court could not determine whether the summons was served legally because it did not receive the reply card sent to the mainland. After receiving the reply card, it will decide whether to continue to summon Cao Yu to appear in court.

Once Cao Yu still fails to appear in court, Kaohsiung District Court will first transfer Doze Niu's case to the trial court for trial according to the usual procedures, and it is impossible to close the case as early as Doze Niu and the appointed lawyer hoped.
