Five ideas to improve your renderings, 3d max rendering photo-level renderings.

Skills of drawing photo-level renderings with 3d max;

1. Reality does not mean perfection.

Image is the most obvious gift of 3D rendering, that is, it is perfect. In this picture, the painting, the chair and the table are all straight. If you try, you can't do it in reality.

Therefore, it is a good practice to rotate and move the object slightly before rendering time. Note that we usually use Snap by Degree to do this, so it will rotate 1 degree or 5 degrees. But now is a good time to rotate it, make a small rotation and movement.

2. Same but different

It's cool to use the same model, but when you have several permutations, you will start to notice that they are exactly the same. In this example, we can see the wood grain in the same position on each chair.

This is easy to solve, even if the object is instantiated. Enter the material editor. Grab the material with a dropper. Add VRayUVWRandomizer map. Insert the same content in all maps. You can select by name, which will offset the texture according to the name. Turn off UV rotation because we don't need to rotate any texture. Now every chair will have a different texture.

3. Reduce the hard edges of objects

Another flaw in the 3d model is hard edges. When we build in 3d, the edges are hard by default. We can overcome this problem in several ways. The first method is to use the chamfer modifier.

The second method is to do it in materials with maps. Add VrayEdgeTex map. We can see that it has rounded corners for us and made a more realistic model.

Make some noise

Nothing in life is really flat, and your 3D model should not be flat. To add some changes, you can quadrangle the grid. This will add more faces to your object, and then add a noise modifier. Try not to overuse the one you hardly want to notice.

Edible organic food

We can not only soften hard objects. Many years ago, natural objects such as trees, plants, flowers, pillows and fabrics were very ugly and realistic in 3D rendering, because we could use too few polygons.

But now we have enough resources to make things look as real as real life. Now that you have a chaotic universe, you don't need some organic objects in your scene.

Adding a throw and positioning it with the FFD modifier will add real details. Or you can use the cloth modifier to do something similar. Speaking of fabric modifiers, we can combine fabric modifiers with cushions and put them on the sofa. This will make it better than we just try to place it.

Stay Real

If you want 3d rendering to look real, it is important to keep it real. This applies to lighting, materials and cameras. If you use real-world constraints in 3d images, you will get real-world results. The closer our virtual world is to reality, the more real it looks.

That's why it's a good idea to put materials on a real-world scale. Keep the real world open in the V-Ray resource browser. Then, every time we create an object and add a real-world UVW map modifier, it will appear in the correct scale. This is a very useful habit if you want real images.

The real world means that we tell 3ds max that this texture is 100cm x 100cm in real life.

This also applies to models. It is lucky to just observe and zoom in, and we will try our best to avoid this situation. Most models available now are based on the size of the real world. But if they are not real, you can always check the manufacturer's website to make sure that the size you match is accurate.

How to improve the rendering speed of renderings? The rendering speed of renderings is slow, rendering is stuck, and local rendering resources are insufficient. You can use light and dark cloud rendering, support cpu and gpu rendering, batch rendering and online rendering. It is fast and efficient, which greatly reduces the cost, does not occupy the local computer to do other work, selects the appropriate configuration as needed, and uses it as needed, which greatly improves the rendering speed, reduces the capital investment, improves the work efficiency, and spends more time on creation.
