Mufu Fengyun was filmed in Old Town of Lijiang.

In 2000, Jiang Xiaorong and Yu Rongguang wanted to shoot the TV series "Qian Wang" in Mufu, which was strongly opposed by Huang Nai Town, curator of "Ancient City" of Lijiang Museum. After the studio was completed, it was demolished. In order to shoot smoothly, Yu Rongguang found Huang Nai Town and confided to him, indicating his determination to shoot a fine TV series.
