Pay attention to the following points when shooting flowers: First, portable cameras are paraxial cameras, and the optical axes of the viewfinder and the lens are not in a straight line, so when shooting at close range around 1 m, the viewfinder will have parallax. Therefore, when shooting at close range, we must take the view according to the close-range parallax compensation line in the viewfinder. Otherwise, the flowers will deviate greatly from the predetermined position in the taken photos. Secondly, when shooting at close range, the autofocus portable camera must pay attention to the focus indicator next to the viewfinder eyepiece. If the indicator light flashes, it may be that the shooting distance is too close, which has exceeded the nearest shooting distance of the camera and it is impossible to focus. At this time, it is necessary to move the shooting position backward until the focus indicator stops flashing, so as to ensure a clear picture. When using 120 paraxial cameras, such as Mamiya 7 and Brownika 645RF, we should also pay attention to the same problem when taking flowers.
35 mm SLR camera is the most commonly used equipment, and it is also a powerful tool to shoot flowers. SLR cameras have no parallax, so you can see the subject directly in the viewfinder. However, it should also be noted that except for professional SLR cameras, the framing range in the viewfinder of other SLR cameras is smaller than the actual shooting range. Especially when shooting with color reversal film, we should pay more attention to this problem. Because in general, reverse film is the final product, unlike negative film, which can be cut in post-production.
