How to connect a digital camera wirelessly through a computer and control camera photography with a computer.

Canon users can use the free EOS utility software to turn the computer into an external display and remotely control the camera to shoot. The steps are as follows:

1. Connect the camera.

Connect the camera to the computer using USB-A/V cable. This is the same as transferring photos from a camera to a computer. Make sure the camera is turned on after the connection.

2. Open the EOS utility.

Open EOS utility software and select "Camera Options/Remote Shooting", and a small window will appear. At the top of the menu, you can see the current camera settings, power supply and other information.

If shooting video, you need to find the "live view shooting" button. If you shoot a video, you can click a button like a camera next to it. The software menus are very similar on both Windows and Mac systems.

3. White balance

The white balance in software is very similar to the standard mode in camera. You can select all common settings or customize the white balance. Canon Utility supports the function of correcting white balance by shooting. This feature is very important for 90% of photos and videos.

? 4. Focus mode

You can select three focusing modes in the software. These three modes are all good and suitable for different purposes. Here is a brief introduction:

Fast mode-Fast mode is the simplest mode. Just click the "On" key and the software will start focusing. This mode is most suitable for taking still photos. In addition, you can manually select the focus area.

Real-time view-Real-time view will focus on the most important topics in the scene. I have tested many subjects and the results are very good.

Real-time view of face recognition-similar to real-time view, but not focusing on the largest object in the scene, but focusing on the face.

5. Histogram

Large histograms can be displayed by EOS tools. On the histogram, you can see shadows, midtones and highlights. You can click the RGB button to view the histogram displayed in three different colors.

Take still photos

When taking still photos, the photos are automatically stored in the computer hard disk. After selecting the save folder, you can shoot through the software or the shutter on the camera.

If you know the camera's various mode settings, other information is very easy to understand.

7. Other options

In the display panel, there are some other options:

1. allows you to add photos to the video, or you can mix photos into the video through the opacity slider.

2. Turn the autofocus grid on/off.

3. Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise.

4. Rotate 90 degrees clockwise.

5. Switch between 3×3 and 6×4 grids.

6. Change the grid aspect ratio.

7. Turn on/off the histogram display.

8. 100% displays the selected photo.
