The laboratory of the College of Liberal Arts includes Jilin University Modern Media and Applied Technology Basic Experimental Center, Archaeological DNA Laboratory, Anthropology Laboratory and Cultural Relics Exhibition Room. The Basic Experimental Center of Modern Media and Applied Technology of Jilin University is the "Demonstration Experimental Center of Basic Teaching in Colleges and Universities in Jilin Province" and the only demonstration experimental center of liberal arts in colleges and universities in Jilin Province. Including photography laboratory, radio and television news laboratory, news editing laboratory, radio and television broadcasting laboratory, radio and television program production laboratory, nonlinear editing laboratory, advertising design laboratory, advertising production laboratory, cultural relics protection and application technology laboratory, multimedia classroom and microcomputer room. Physical anthropology is a key research direction of archaeology in Jilin University for many years. A lot of work has been done in the ethnographic research of ancient residents in China's frontier areas. It has established an anthropological laboratory and an ancient bone specimen bank, and collected a large number of specimens collected from all parts of the border of China. At present, the collection of ancient bone specimens has reached 1500 cases. The analysis of DNA extracted from ancient human remains is helpful to clarify the relationship between human origin, evolution and groups, and has important application value in archaeological research, which is considered by international academic circles to be the most advanced research field of world archaeology in 2 1 century.

The total investment in the construction of the experimental center is more than 654.38+million yuan, with a total area of 654.38+0620 ㎡, and there are 9 full-time experimental technicians. The experimental center offers basic experimental courses and professional experimental courses for students of various majors in the College of Liberal Arts. In addition, elective courses in humanities and public relations and public photography are offered, and TV programs are produced for seven columns of Jilin University TV Station. The reference room of the College of Literature was founded in 1956, which is a professional reference room with rich books and strong academic atmosphere. The building area is1.200m2, distributed in four floors, and managed by closed open shelves. At present, there are 10 managers, including 4 deputy senior titles. There are stacks and reading rooms for literature, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, history, archaeology and ancient books, with a collection of more than 70,000 books. At present, Chinese periodicals include: journals of major universities, comprehensive academic journals and professional academic journals, and more than 400 kinds of materials related to literature and history copied by the National People's Congress. In recent years, new carrier files such as CDs have been collected one after another. The books in the library are academic and theoretical, and strive to be systematic and complete. In order to meet the needs of teaching and scientific research, automatic management was fully realized in 2004, which provided convenience for teachers and students to borrow and retrieve documents.
