Physical geography of Bashan reservoir

Bashan Reservoir is located on the main stream of yi river in Huaihe River Basin, and the dam site is at the foot of Bashan Mountain where yi river meets the tributary Nuanyang River at 17.5km northwest of Yishui County. The dam starts from the top of Zizi Bai La Mountain in the west, crosses the Yi River and connects with Bashan Mountain. The reservoir area is adjacent to Hanwang Iron Mine in the northwest and Zhuge in the north. Control basin area 1782 square kilometers. The reservoir area is located in hilly areas, with rolling mountains and ravines. The dam is arch-shaped, with a total length of 1 0,780 meters and a northeast-southwest axis. The river bottom elevation of the dam site is about 152.0m, the width of the main river channel is about 300m, and the thickness of the overburden layer is 10 ~ 20m, all of which are medium coarse sand mixed with gravel, showing the law of coarse at the top and fine at the bottom.
