Why don't jockeys sit on horseback but hang their hips in the air?

If you have a deep understanding of horse riding, you will know that the deeper you ride, the more stable you sit on the back of the horse, and the more you can control the horse to the maximum. For example, in equestrian sports, we can see that all dressage players never leave the saddle, which can ensure that every tiny movement of the horse is under control. The requirements for horses and riders in speed races are quite different from those in other equestrian events. Speed race requires the rider to release the kinetic energy of the horse to the maximum extent and convert this kinetic energy into speed in the whole race. Therefore, the rider will take an unconventional riding mode in such a competition, striving not to interfere with the normal force of the horse and keep the center of gravity of the body consistent with the center of gravity of the horse, which is why there is such a posture of squatting before and sitting at two o'clock. In addition, in the speed race, most of the participating horses are British thoroughbred horses. Compared with other competitive horses, this kind of horse has thin limbs and insufficient waist and back strength. If the conventional three-point riding method is adopted, the horse's load will increase, and the two-point riding method can give full play to its advantage of strong explosive power of hind legs. The saddle used in this riding mode is not ordinary, but a special racing saddle. The harness from the waist to the hose and the rider's protective gear are different from ordinary saddles, and the way of holding the reins is different, which is also the particularity of rider and horse training. Therefore, it is not recommended to adopt this posture in normal riding. This forward riding posture is very dangerous. Once the horse dodges, accelerates and stops, you will almost invariably fall off the horse. I am not a speed jockey, but I happen to like equestrian very much. Some of my friends are professional speed jockeys.
