I am familiar with this car of Volkswagen Huiang, because I have tested it before changing it, and I have also driven all its power versions. But as far as I know, buy? Hui 'ang people are generally not short of money, so I chose a top model this time to see where the new Hui 'ang is and what kind of enjoyment Volkswagen's flagship car can bring to consumers.

Can the product support the price of 400 thousand?

I think so, too. The overall mechanical level of Huiang's car is not lost to the latest generation of Audi A6L and BMW 5 Series, not to mention the Mercedes-Benz E-Class with poor product strength. Let me talk about three things that impressed me the most:

The first is motivation. Xinhuang is equipped with the third generation EA888? 2.0T high-power engine, canceled the old 3.0T? V6 engine, but this familiar engine is a bit like the old V6 engine. Speed-up is brisk, sound insulation is good while running smoothly, and confidence in high speed is sufficient, but the absolute power is really poor. Moreover, the DL382 dual clutch gearbox has a smooth adjustment (again, as long as you spend a lot of money and work hard, there is nothing wrong with dual clutch). When you step on the accelerator, you will feel a little calm like an old Mercedes. Even if you change the driving mode to exercise, its acceleration is neither urgent nor slow, but at the same time you can easily increase the speed. The biggest difference between the sport mode and the standard mode lies in the initial stage of the throttle, and the sport mode will follow the foot more at the moment of stepping on the throttle. So this dynamic performance is in line with the vehicle positioning, and I really don't think it's necessary to miss that old V6.

The second is its chassis. The new Hui 'ang has been equipped with air suspension as standard since its mid-fitting (that is, the premium version of 407,000), which is very rare in the same price model. However, you should know that the driving quality is not necessarily good with air suspension. For a counterexample, please refer to ES6 in the letter. However, the air suspension of Xinhuang is really well tuned. Of course, I suggest you use the standard mode every day (comfort mode, the chassis will be a little messy). It can filter out 90% of the broken earthquakes on the road, leaving only about 10% of the road information. In addition, the track and wheelbase of this car are very impressive. Whether driving by yourself or sitting in the back row, it is easy to feel.

Besides, it's the quietness of this car. As we all know, Huiang's car is based on C7 Audi A6L, which is very quiet. Then, Xinhuang adopted multi-layer sound insulation glass (0. 1mm acoustic PVB film more than ordinary sound insulation glass), so the quietness was guaranteed. Especially now the fuel consumption regulations are strict, and most cars are losing weight. I think the noise of this car is quieter than the new generation A6L, and it is on the same level as the BMW 5 Series.

In a word, the mechanical quality of this car is really good, but you should also be mentally prepared to be a "professional driver". Because of its large steering wheel spokes and large body size, even with a vertical engine, the turning radius is much smaller, but this car still looks very big in the urban area. However, for consumers who buy this car, this may not be particularly concerned. After all, buying this car is more about the feeling of riding in the back row.

Are you tempted by these superb equipment?

Since it is the flagship car, it is definitely unreasonable that the new Huiang has no luxury equipment different from ordinary cars. At this point, Xin Huiang is very sincere. Xinhuang basically shows all the essence and top technology of the public. I won't talk about the heating/ventilation/massage, small table board and other common equipment in the back row. Just pick some equipment that you don't necessarily see in cars with the same price or even more expensive, so that everyone can open their eyes:

One is the AAS air suspension I mentioned earlier, which was definitely the high-end equipment of millions of luxury cars in the past. At present, there are about 400 thousand models equipped with air suspension, and all I can think of is Weilai.

The other is the infrared night vision system, which used to be optional with A6L top, and the cost was very high. It uses an infrared camera to capture the road ahead, then displays images on the dashboard, and also marks and warns pedestrians, which can improve the safety of driving at night.

Then there is the car refrigerator. This equipment is expensive and takes up space in the trunk. Therefore, unless it is a car with a large space that can be squandered at will, it is rarely carried in the car. However, the product manager of Huiang said that after a long period of consideration, they still thought it would be very cool to let people drink an iced drink in hot summer, so they insisted on keeping it.

Finally, there is Dana audio carried on Huiang. Many people may be disdainful to hear Dynabar, because too many Volkswagen cars have this logo, but in fact Dynabar is divided into several grades (usually Exite series), and Huiang uses the top seduction series (more advanced than Touareg's confidence series), 16 speakers and 730W power. Sound reproduction is very good, which is very suitable for listening to symphonies.

Can you accept fine-tuning of images?

Nowadays, many cars like to create an atmosphere through design, but Xinhuang doesn't need to do this at all, because its body size is big enough. So you can see that there are actually no complicated lines on the new Hui Ang, which are all familiar popular elements, but with such a simple design, the sense of volume of the cart is so unpretentious.

Of course, the design of the new car must be changed, and Xinhuang has also added many new design elements. But I think the most eye-catching one is the plaid and brand Logo that can be lit. Instead of showing all the bad things, I drew a circle along the outline, which was not so conspicuous and had insufficient recognition. I think this design is likely to become one of the modification projects that many Volkswagen car owners are keen on in the future, just like the letters below Volkswagen.

The lag of public transportation makes many functions lag behind the times.

Although it is called Xinhui Ang, it is based on the platform of the previous generation Audi A6L, so the bus is older. Reflected in the user level, many things are a bit outdated. Let me give you two examples: First, although this car is equipped with an infrared night vision system, it is displayed on the dashboard whose size is not as big as the screen of a mobile phone, which is very inconsistent with the current reading habits.

Second, the entire central control system still uses the operating interface and logic of the previous generation of Volkswagen. The biggest influence on users is navigation, and users may still rely on mobile navigation after buying it back.

Huiang's role is more to enhance the brand image.

As the highest-end car of Volkswagen in China, Huiang also represents the brand's understanding of luxury to some extent. It is completely different from luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW. It is low-key, introverted and connotative. Huiang's product manager also admitted that Xinhuang is definitely not the mainstream choice. After all, who doesn't want to buy a car with a stronger brand? However, he hopes that when choosing BBA models with the same price, if he can think of Huiang and even hesitate a little, he will succeed.

Volkswagen new huiang? first impression

Outstanding advantages: smooth power, comfortable chassis and luxurious equipment;

Main disadvantages: brand appeal.
