How to take time-lapse photography with Fuji -X 100S? I keep pressing it with my hand. . It's too white . . .
So I can't shoot it.
However, if you want to take a delayed picture of the starry sky, you can still do it. You can use the mechanical cable to release.
I won't introduce what mechanical pay-off is, so let's understand for ourselves.
Using mechanical cable release for x 100s can achieve an effect that the shutter can be pressed all the time without touching the camera.
When the mechanical cable is released, the camera is set to continuous shooting mode, and the continuous shooting speed does not need to be set to the fastest, because it is time-lapse photography anyway, and there is no difference between setting low and setting high.
Turn off the self-timer delay function. If you turn that on, the camera will never go down in continuous shooting.
Long exposure noise reduction is turned on.
Set exposure parameters.
The LCD screen and the hybrid viewfinder are closed, leaving only the optical viewfinder. To save electricity.
Then use the mechanical cable to release and keep the shutter pressed.
This means that you don't have to touch the camera, but it will last forever in continuous shooting.
Because it is shooting the starry sky, the exposure time is generally twenty or thirty seconds, plus the long exposure noise reduction function of the same length.
That is to say, take one automatically in 40-60 seconds.
In this case, it is almost impossible to delay shooting the starry sky.
The reluctant reason is that the delay of 40-60 seconds is too small. If you want to shoot for two or three hours, you can shoot hundreds.
In fact, time-lapse photography needs a longer time span, and the interval between each photo can be much longer (there is no need to take so many photos)
If you shoot the sun and the city, you can't play like this, because you shoot one in a second or two and go to thousands in an hour.
In other words, this "make do" method is limited to shooting stars.
Another problem is the battery. An original battery of x 100s, so shooting the starry sky can only take more than two hours.
If you want a longer time span, you must connect an external power supply or battery.
