Experiences of skipping rope for 30 days

Hello everyone, I am Tee Sang, a quasi-self-media person who paints, photographs and writes.

Just finished 3500 dances in less than 34 minutes, a new time record. Prepare to maintain this speed until next week as a period of physical fitness consolidation. For the first time in my life, I can stick to a sport for a month, which is considered a breakthrough for myself. Let’s talk about the thirty-day rope skipping experience and review it again.

The motivation for skipping rope was to establish a weight loss group, but it has not started exercising yet. Some friends in the group hired personal trainers to continue exercising and kept checking in. As a sponsor, I felt a little ashamed and unwilling, so one day I picked up the KEEP racing rope I had bought before and went downstairs to jump. The experience on the first day was only 600 in 15 minutes. I was confused by the ropeless rope skipping game in SWITCH and thought it would be easy. Unexpectedly, I was ridiculed by the reality.

The next day, my calf was very swollen and a little sore to the touch. But I just had to make a little progress every day. After all, with such a low number on the first day, it shouldn't be difficult to surpass it, so I went downstairs and jumped, which was 100 more than yesterday. On the third day too, my legs were still sore and I still jumped 100 more than on the second day. On the fourth day too, I jumped up to 900.

On the fifth day, my calves seemed to be less sore and in good condition, so I jumped to 1,300 in one breath. The tenth day also coincided with 618, so I bought a smart rope. I continued to check in and share the skipping rope, and also gathered some friends online to dance together. So the APP’s bonuses and atmosphere make skipping more fun. The APP can intuitively see the data changes, and it also gives voice encouragement from time to time when jumping rope, so I jumped more and more as my body allowed. On the fifteenth day, I challenged 5,000, which took an hour.

On the 18th and 19th days, I rested for 2 days. It was also because I read some rope skipping posts and it was recommended to give the muscles some rest and recovery time. In addition, my original intention of skipping rope was not to lose weight, but to improve my heart and lungs and reduce body fat overall. I would have to control my diet and start building muscle later. So I rested calmly for 2 days.

On the 21st day, I realized there was some discomfort in my left knee and I was a little worried, so I didn’t force myself to increase the number of skipping ropes and jumped with knee pads. Then I rested for 2 days in a row because of the rain and walking for 20,000 steps. Then I felt much better when I jumped again. I know that knee injuries are irreversible, so I consciously arrange the amount of practice according to my physical condition. Yesterday's bike ride also stretched my knees properly, which made tonight's skipping much smoother.

Tonight’s rope skipping is as mentioned at the beginning. Before jumping, my goal was to control 3,000 ropes in 30 minutes. I did it tonight. The APP set 3,500 ropes, and the final completion time was 34 minutes. , which can be regarded as a good explanation for this month’s skipping.

In the past month, my weight has not changed much because I did not control my diet and rest well. My base is also small, and my waistline is obviously smaller, but I still have a fleshy belly. If the muscles cannot be exposed, you must continue to lower body fat first. The growth in physical fitness can be felt through cycling and setting records by skipping rope again and again. Psychologically, the confidence brought by skipping rope also makes it easy for me to start other projects, such as writing and practicing calligraphy.

In one month, I did about 8,000 dances, and accumulated 1,100 minutes of training. As a freelancer, it is not difficult for me to squeeze out these forty minutes every day, so I have to compete with other fragments of time. , such as playing games, browsing web information, etc. Prioritize doing things of long-term value every day, and do whatever you want with the rest.

Okay, keep up the good work!
