Omayra's painful introduction

We see the pain in the photographer's heart through this set of photos. Fournier's behavior was welcomed by people. He showed the noble character of a reporter. The following year, in the 29th World Photojournalism Competition, his group of color photos "The Pain of Omayra" won the first prize in the breaking news series, among which this photo, which fully showed the sweet little girl's calmness and composure, was awarded 1985 as the best news photo of the year.
