There are nearly 300 kinds of precious birds in Jinmen, including winter migratory birds, transit birds and resident birds that can be seen in all seasons; Dai Sheng, kingfisher, ring-necked plover, cormorant and black-faced spoonbill are the most common bird protagonists in winter. Dai Sheng, commonly known as Archaeopteryx, has a special appearance. When he is alert or seeking balance, his crown will open; Black-headed jadeite, a rare winter migratory bird, is the most popular wild bird in winter, commonly known as "blue jadeite", which often appears in Jinsha River. After winter, cormorants (osprey) migrated to Kinmen with the monsoon, and the number reached as many as seven or eight thousand. They fly to the open sea for food every morning and return to Ci Lake, Tai Lake and Yangming Lake in Jinmen at night. The most fascinating sight of Cihu Lake is that the black-faced spoonbill and the white-faced spoonbill are still trying to feed, and the cormorants on the side have already rushed back to the tree to rest, and their droppings are covered with branches, forming the unique snow in Kinmen. After enjoying the migratory birds in winter, there will be a chestnut-throated bee tiger in Jinmen after Tomb-Sweeping Day next year. The colors are bright and beautiful, and the male birds in courtship will offer food to the female birds, which is a hot topic for children to draw and sketch.
