Campus photography skill one,
Selection of equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark III is equipped with two lenses, namely EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM and EF 50mm f/ 1.2L USM.
Canon EF 50mm f/ 1.2L USM has a large aperture of 1.2, which can create a strong blur effect; Using Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM to shoot portraits, special space compression effect of telephoto end can be obtained, and deformation of characters can be greatly reduced.
Shooting skills:
1) How to blend the model into the shooting atmosphere?
This shooting is mainly one-on-one with the model, so that I can communicate with the model well. Before the official shooting, I had a simple interaction with the model, which can better increase our feelings and warm up for the relaxed shooting atmosphere in the later stage. Maybe because everyone is a girl, the model will be more relaxed when I shoot.
Let the model relax wholeheartedly and let her have her own mood, so that the photos taken will be more natural and the expression will not be too artificial. Usually just look at the model's face and take a snapshot. Generally, if you use a lens with a large aperture, you can't open the aperture index to the maximum, because if you lose focus, it will be empty. This time I tried to turn the aperture to the maximum. I want a hazy and fresh feeling. Make the photos small and fresh, props and environment are also very important.
2) Choose suitable clothes and places.
In this shoot, the model prepared two sets of clothes by herself. Because it is a campus film, the model specially prepared a simple retro coat, a college dark gray sweater and a blue fresh plaid skirt. In the shooting, the exterior shooting is mainly based on retro coats and sweaters, and then I went to the cafe to take pictures, and chose a blue plaid skirt to better match the environment.
3) Take a break.
Sharing beautiful photos with models can enhance mutual trust.
The whole shooting took a long time, from 3 pm to 6 pm. Every time I shoot a scene, I suggest taking a break, and at the same time show the photos to the models to exchange their experiences and thanks, so that the models can know what they are doing and cooperate with me better.
4) Use snapshots
When shooting a series of movements of models, I will capture the best expressions and movements by snapping pictures. If you capture it from another angle, there will always be unpredictable pictures and capture the most beautiful and optimal expression.
The filming process is very important. You can shoot many angles and moments in a scene. Of course, many photos may fail. As long as one of these snapshots succeeds, you will succeed. Every model has a beautiful side and interesting moments. The most important thing is to let your subject relax and don't shoot for the sake of shooting. You need to pay attention to details. Sometimes, a photographer must guide the model's state and try to make the model show the feeling you want.
Shooting skills:
1) Choose a good light.
Because it is around 3 pm, the light is high and there is no optimal light, so at this time I will choose the corner under the branch to shoot, and a ray of light will come out from the branch, which will also create a three-dimensional sense for the model. Adding a dreamy atmosphere to the picture.
Making good use of backlight, choosing suitable environment and light, making dazzling light surround the model, making the picture warm and the model's hair golden, is a fashionable and fresh shooting method.
2) Use a large aperture to highlight the theme and maintain the atmosphere.
Campus scenes are full of life, and sometimes the scene environment will get out of control. At this time, we use a large aperture to blur the background and highlight the model.
Large aperture is always the favorite of female photographers! Because Canon EF 50mm f/ 1.2L USM lens is lighter than telephoto lens. When I shoot a model, I often pursue the subject state of the model and blur the background as much as possible, which can make the photo look very beautiful. When shooting with Canon EF 50mm f/ 1.2L USM, even if the background is messy, it will be blurred very cleanly. There is also the Canon EF 50mm f/ 1.2L USM, which can make female photographers hold the camera all day without feeling tired, while the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM won't take long.
3) Choose a suitable prospect
Looking for a suitable foreground will make the picture more stereoscopic and increase the observability and interest of the picture. I pay great attention to finding areas with green vines or leaves as the foreground and adjust the light in time.
Campus photography skills 2,
1, scenes and props
When shooting portraits with campus themes, it is best to choose the venue on campus, otherwise even if the model wears campus-style clothes, the picture is still not rich enough. It is necessary to make full use of campus life scenes and guide models to be in them, so as to highlight the characteristics of environmental portraits. Blackboard eraser, chalk and other elements full of campus feelings can fully arouse readers' singing.
2. The application prospect of the framework
When shooting, you can apply some borders appropriately, or you can create a hazy feeling through the glass window to increase the layering and space of the picture. We should pay attention to the choice of frame not to cover the model's face too much, especially the model's eyes, because the eyes can make the picture more vivid and leave a deep impression on the viewer.
3. Symmetric synthesis
Simple composition sometimes works well. Symmetrical composition, the picture will have a dignified and generous feeling. Pay attention to the environment. If there is a symmetrical object, it is better to use it. Whether it's a mid-shot or a close-up, a symmetrical picture can always make people feel peaceful and increase the durability of the picture.
4. Close-up snapshot
The girl in the picture is full of campus atmosphere, especially her fresh and natural feeling, which makes people shine. In fact, posing sometimes makes the creation in trouble, and the captured picture can impress others more. Don't stick to beautiful pictures, try some random snapshots appropriately, which are unpretentious but lifelike.
5. Overhead view
The shooting angle is mostly head-up, and then the model's youthful and beautiful posture is displayed. It's better to try to shoot from above, but this angle is a bit cartoon and a bit q! You can take advantage of the height difference of the stairs, or you can let the model lie on the grass and shoot from above. You will find that she is different in peacetime.
6, text design
Yes, this has gone beyond photography and is unnecessary. However, we have to admit that a good text design, whether it is theme text or watermark text, can add some unique charm to the work. At the same time, the location should also be appropriate. For example, "Su Xia" in the above two works, the design and placement of text special effects make the photos more literary.
