Wang Mei’s extension

Linyi has a long history and is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization. As early as four to five million years ago, human ancestors created ancient civilizations on this land. There are many cultural relics from the Early Paleolithic Age 200,000 years ago in the territory. The nearly 100 microlithic cultural relics discovered in the Yihe and Shuhe river basins were created by humans between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. As early as 5,000 years ago, people here had mastered the technology of brewing wine and using meteorites to treat diseases. In 1926, foreign student Sun Yu returned to Qingdao from the United States. Sun Yu is China's first international student specializing in film. He, Wang Mei, who teaches music, and Wang Zhuo (Wang Mei's brother), who teaches art, formed the first film crew in Chinese history: "The Waves of Qingdao". The filming of this film was later stopped because the photographer was not available, otherwise Wang Mei would have become the first soundtrack composer in Chinese film history.
