Where is Lugou Bridge?

Lugou Bridge is located in Fengtai District, Beijing.

The deck of Lugou Bridge is slightly curved, with lower ends and raised middle. Pier, arch coupon, sentry box, railing, drum-hugging stone and huabiao are all made of natural sandstone and marble, while the bridge deck is paved with huge natural granite.

The riverbed under Lugou Bridge is paved with pebbles and quartz sand several meters thick, and the whole bridge body is firmly built on it. The plane of the pier is a gondola, and the upstream is in the north, which is the water inlet. The diversion tip is built like a bow, and it is 4.5-5.2 meters long, accounting for about a quarter of the pier.

At the front end of each diversion tip, a triangular cast iron with a side width of 26 cm and an acute angle outward is installed to reduce the impact of flood and ice and protect the stability of the diversion tip. There are six layers of diversion slabs on the diversion spire, which is called the wind-burning platform. The lower two floors are picked out, and the upper floors are collected one after another, with a height of1.83m, which not only strengthens the stability of the diversion tip, but also balances the bearing pressure of the pier.
