Trick switch board

As the central nerve of EFP system, switch is the key equipment for editing and processing signals of multiple cameras. The director's performance is on the switchboard. It is no exaggeration to say that the switch platform is the director's stage.

The switch of EFP system needs more than 10 input channels, 2-level M/E stunts and more than 2 downlink keys (DSK). The number of input channels in the switchboard is to accommodate more switchable signal sources. Generally, the switchboard should have 6 channels of camera signal input, 2 channels of player signal input and 2 channels of caption machine, that is, the down key.

(DSK) signal input, but also consider the input of renderer and animation stunt.

The switchboard should also be equipped with auxiliary buses to meet various requirements of field production. For example, some programs are required to record a clean signal without subtitles while broadcasting live, as information retention or editing tidbits, and so on.

In order to deal with emergency or prevent switch failure, emergency plan should be considered when designing EFP system, that is, use a video matrix or another switch as backup for emergency switching, and switch with the main switch conveniently and quickly. The video matrix in EFP system can also be used for signal distribution. For example, video signals needed on the big screen of the scene or stage can be cut out from the video matrix.

Video matrix, also called switch, can input multiple video signals and select one or more of them for output. 8× 1 means 8 inputs, 1 outputs, that is,1starting from 8; 32×4 means 32 inputs and 4 outputs. It is equivalent to a simple switchboard, with only hard cutting function, no special effects and buttons.
