Do you want to specialize in digital media art without an art foundation?

can learn

This major doesn't need much art foundation at present. At present, there are two majors in the university, namely "Digital Media Technology" and "Digital Media Art". The former major belongs to software and programming, while the latter major belongs to fine arts.

These two majors have the same five words, one is skill and the other is art, but there are still some differences in skills between them:

1, the professional curriculum arrangement is different.

For example, students majoring in digital media technology will learn computer software and programming techniques such as computer 2D and 3D animation production, film and television post-production, computer-aided design and CAD, C++ programming, OpenGL programming and application, DirectX animation programming, and students majoring in digital media art will learn courses such as introduction to film and television art, introduction to art design, design aesthetics, picture composition, new digital media technology and art appreciation. But they also have some similarities, that is, they all need to learn photography and video recording, multimedia technology, digital image processing and other knowledge.

2, the college entrance examination requirements are different.

In the new college entrance examination era, the requirements for physics and mathematics are relatively high, while the art majors of digital media art terms and the liberal arts majors of traditional college entrance examination basically have no requirements for examination.

3. Different employment directions

Graduates majoring in digital media art can engage in the design, teaching, research and management of digital media in traditional media fields such as radio and television, movies and computer animation, and virtual reality. Graduates majoring in digital media technology can engage in the production, transmission, product development and design of various digital media in online game software development, communication, film and television, broadcasting, information appliances, print media and other industries.
