Where does Dendrobium nobile grow?

Dendrobium nobile is mainly produced in China, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Fujian and other places. These areas have warm and humid climate and fertile soil, which is very suitable for the growth of Dendrobium nobile. Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province and Guilin City, Guangxi Province are considered as one of the main producing areas of Dendrobium nobile.

Dendrobium nobile grows in a bad environment and can only be planted in a special geographical environment. It likes warm and humid climate, and should grow in places with high potassium content in soil and strong fertilizer and water retention. Taking Chishui, the largest producing area of Dendrobium nobile, as an example, the highest altitude is1346.2m, and the lowest altitude is 328m, which belongs to the warm and humid climate zone in the middle subtropical zone and has obvious continental monsoon climate characteristics.

It is hot in summer, cool in winter, less sunshine, long frost-free period, rainy in summer, rainy in early summer and autumn, and fierce cooling. In recent years, due to the influence of atmospheric circulation, warm winter and early spring are obvious. Because the unique geographical environment is very suitable for the growth of Dendrobium nobile, Dendrobium nobile in Chishui is planted in the open air.

Wild Dendrobium nobile likes to grow in warm, humid, semi-cloudy and semi-sunny environment, especially in subtropical deep forests with annual rainfall above 1000 mm, air humidity above 80% and average temperature above 8℃ in 65438+ 10.

Cultivation method

(1) Stone sticking method: the treated seedling base is close to the stone and fixed with a wire clamp, and the root is fixed on the surface of the stone. The roots of Dendrobium are covered with decomposed cow dung and moss, with buds facing upwards and planted at a density of 30cmx30cm.

(2) Tree sticking method: You can choose Castanopsis fissa, Sapium sebiferum (paper tree), persimmon tree, tung tree, etc. Cut a slit in the branch or trunk of the tree on the rainy side with a knife and fix the base of Dendrobium at the crack.

Cow dung and soil were applied to the roots of Dendrobium at a ratio of 5: 1, and then planted at a density of 30-40cm. Note that it is best to tie it twice to prevent wind and rain, and fix it on the trunk or branch, so that its new roots can grow closely along the tree after birth.

(3) Precautions: Plant when the cultivation conditions are ripe, and do not plant temporarily when the conditions are not ripe. It is necessary to create suitable growth conditions for Dendrobium, such as shading and irrigation water sources. Note that Dendrobium can't be planted where the rain can't reach.
