How to shoot scenery works with flowing light and shadow

Lead: The changeable combination of light and shadow in nature provides unlimited creative possibilities for landscape photography. The types of light are direct light, diffuse light, side light, backlight, top light and so on. In this issue, the blacksmith furnace teacher will explain how to collect light and shadow from a technical point of view and shoot landscape works with light and shadow flowing.

How to shoot a landscape work with flowing light and shadow? 1. Explain in detail the weak light, warm light, diffuse light and direct light of landscape photography.

The types of light can be divided into direct light, diffuse light, side light, backlight, top light and so on. For me who prefer landscape photography, I prefer to divide the light into weak light around sunrise and sunset, warm color light that changes rapidly at sunrise and sunset, diffuse light on cloudy days, and direct light with the sun hanging high in the sky.

1). The direct light of the sun is high in the sky. Except for looking for small scenes in the Woods, there is only one situation that is relatively suitable for taking landscape photos, and that is local light.

2). Cloudy days and rainy and snowy days are either opportunities to shoot unique movies (strong convective weather, or after the storm stops) or opportunities to adjust and rest. However, on cloudy days, if the thickness of the cloud is uneven, the diffused light will change accordingly, so it can be photographed properly.

Photo 1, in the evening, the rain stopped, the clouds cracked, and several cows went home. Figure 2. I wandered around Toad Dam at eight or nine o'clock, but fortunately, the thickness of clouds can't change the light.

3) The ever-changing warm light at sunrise and sunset is the favorite of landscape photographers and photographers, and it is also the time to shoot more films. Of course, in the fog? Cooperation? Very important.

4). For the weak light around sunrise and sunset, you can shoot good works when you meet the right scene.

The last two photos were taken on the same morning while waiting for the sunrise. The exposure time of the former is 4 seconds and that of the latter is 6.3 seconds. At this time, a stable tripod is very necessary.

Second, the shooting equipment

Canon cameras have been used before 20 1 1, including 5DII and 1DIII. Hasselblad H4D-50 camera has been used since 20 12. The lenses include HCD35-90 zoom lens, 150 fixed-focus lens, 2 10 fixed-focus lens and 300 fixed-focus lens.

The main reason for changing Hasselblad camera is to print bigger photos and like its sharpness and clarity. But as far as my feeling is concerned, the Hasselblad camera I use has a higher failure rate and is more difficult to use at low temperature. Of course, it is normal that the battery is inconvenient in size, consumes quickly and charges slowly (it takes 12 hours).

Third, the use of aperture is the first choice.

Basically, the aperture priority is adopted, and the shutter speed is automatically set by the camera. However, for subjects with large light and shadow changes, the shutter speed of 1/2- 1 is generally increased or decreased by compensation, and the histogram is checked after one shot, and then it is determined whether the compensated shutter speed needs to be adjusted again according to the relative position of the histogram's gradation curve.

It can also be simply said that the aperture is given priority, the shutter speed is compensated and adjusted, and the two ends of the histogram do not overflow. Pay attention to two points at this time. One is to keep the gradient curve as far as possible to the right on the premise that the highlights don't overflow, and the other is to keep one end of the gradient curve from overflowing, then take two shots and deal with it later.

In addition, due to lens diffraction, each lens has a suitable aperture range, blindly pursuing a large depth of field, and using an aperture similar to f22 near the minimum aperture end may reduce the sharpness more and make the whole picture look unclear.

Furthermore, try to get used to checking the color scale. Due to the influence of ambient light angle and brightness, it is difficult to grasp and judge the shot picture only from the camera display screen; It is simple to use the highlight overflow alarm, but it is difficult to accurately control the left and right positions of the color scale curve; The gradient curve is simple and intuitive, and it is only necessary to ensure that both ends of the gradient curve do not overflow at the scene (if you take two photos of the sky and the ground respectively, it is another matter).

Fourth, use the fog at the top or bottom of the mountain.

The sun hasn't appeared yet, but the horizon begins to turn slightly red. It is observed that the fog on the top and bottom of the mountain in the distance on the left side of the plane is flowing, jumping and changing rapidly, and reflects a little color of the sky. Immediately replace the camera equipped with 300mm telephoto lens (equivalent to 35mm Quan Huafu 2 1 1mm) to take a group of photos. The following figure shows two representatives after cutting and other treatments. Pay attention to the choice of shutter speed at this time (2.5 seconds above and 5 seconds below). Different shutter speeds will show completely different effects of morning fog flow and change.

5. Before and after the sun rises, use telephoto to capture the changing light.

Before and after the sun rises from the back hill, it is a very short and best shooting opportunity, so we must seize the time. I took a panoramic view and immediately switched to a telephoto lens to shoot a wonderful scene with changing fog and light.

Sixth, the color of the morning fog faded, shooting dim light and shadow.

At this time, the sun continued to rise, and the color of the morning fog soon faded. On the way down the mountain, I stopped twice to shoot small scenes on the opposite side and side, which had a unique charm.

Seven, use the later period to create a special artistic conception.

In case of adverse weather, including the cloudy day mentioned above and the dreary windy weather, you can also deliberately shoot some works with special artistic conception. Then use the later dry brush to clean the trunk, shake the branches and shake the leaves.

The wind is very strong, and the sun has set. The forest is extremely rich in color, exposed for 3 seconds, and treated with dry brush in the later stage: cleaning, shaking branches and shaking leaves.
