Hyperspectral lidar detection technology is a new detection technology developed in recent years. It combines hyperspectral imaging technology and lidar ranging technology, and can obtain image information, spectral information and position information of the target at the same time, thus realizing multi-dimensional data acquisition of the target. It has the characteristics of large measurement range, strong real-time performance and wide application. Therefore, scientists all over the world have conducted in-depth research on hyperspectral lidar.

At present, the active hyperspectral lidar in China is still in the stage of theoretical research and verification. On 20 18, the project "All-day Active Hyperspectral Lidar Imaging Technology" hosted by Professor Gong Wei of Wuhan University was supported by the national key research and development plan "Earth Observation and Navigation" on 20 18, and the following aspects were mainly carried out:

1. Breakthrough the technical problems such as high output power supercontinuum laser source and laser hyperspectral full-band synchronous imaging.

2. Develop an airborne principle prototype of visible-near infrared hyperspectral lidar with no less than 50 bands, and carry out aviation flight verification.

3. Application in surveying and mapping, forestry and other fields.

4. To lay a technical foundation for the development of space hyperspectral lidar load in the future.

This study can lay a foundation for the development of all-day Earth observation technology in China.
