Shao Huaze, male, was born in Chun’an County, Zhejiang Province in 1933. He joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1951, studied in the theoretical teacher training team of the Second Political Cadre School of the People's Liberation Army in 1953, and later served as a theoretical teacher at the Second Military Medical University. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1957, graduated from the research class of the Philosophy Department of Renmin University of China in 1960, and continued to teach at the Second Military Medical University after graduation. He engaged in journalism after 1964 and served successively as editor of the People's Liberation Army Daily, deputy director of the Current Affairs Policy Publicity Department, and deputy director of the Theoretical Department. In 1981, he was appointed deputy director of the People's Liberation Army Daily. In 1985, he was appointed as the Propaganda Department of the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army. Minister, he was appointed editor-in-chief of "People's Daily" in June 1989, and president and editor-in-chief of "People's Daily" in November 1992. Since 1993, he has been the president of People's Daily. In March 1993, he was elected as the honorary president of the China Press Photography Society. In December 1995, he was elected as the honorary president of the China Press Association. Since August 1998, he has been the honorary director of the Committee for the Protection of the Legitimate Rights and Interests of Journalists. Member of the 14th and 15th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, representative of the 4th National People's Congress, and member of the Standing Committee of the 9th and 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was awarded the rank of major general in 1988 and promoted to lieutenant general in 1994. He has written essays such as "A Brief Talk on Dividing into Two" and other essay collections "Life and Philosophy", "News Commentary Summary", "Thoughts on Historical Changes", "News Commentary Writing", etc. I have been included in books such as "Dictionary of Contemporary Calligraphers, Painters and Seal Engravers" and "Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Art".
