Chen Youren's Character Family

Chen Youren (1878- 1944) was originally married to Mary Liang (originally from Baoan, Guangdong) and had seven children, but only four survived. Among them, Chen Pishi, the eldest son, became a famous barrister in Hong Kong, Chen Yifan, the second son, was an excellent painter, Sylvia, the daughter, became a famous dancer, and Yolanda was a film photographer.

After Mary Liang died in 1926, she married Zhang, the daughter of a Kuomintang elder, in 1930. At that time, Zhang was still young, but she insisted on marrying someone who was nearly 30 years older than herself and was regarded as "the most beautiful man in the world" by her. After they got married, their relationship was very good. 194 1 year, the couple were arrested by the Japanese army in Hong Kong, transferred to Shanghai and placed under house arrest for a long time. After his death, Zhang was not released until after the Second World War, and then immigrated to the United States, France, New Zealand and other places, and died in the 1990s.
