What are the scenic spots in Huangtuling, Pingding County?

Niangziguan is located 45 kilometers northeast of Pingding County, which is a famous Great Wall Pass and a throat fortress in and out of Shanxi and Hebei.

According to legend, Princess Pingyang, the sister of Emperor Taizong of Li Shimin, once ordered female soldiers to be stationed in this pass, so she changed her original name to Niangziguan. Guancheng was built in Jiajing 2 1 year of Ming Dynasty, with only two closed gates. The two wings of Guancheng are undulating and winding along the mountain, becoming a natural barrier between Shanxi and Hebei. Near the upper reaches of Taohe River in Niangziguan, there is the famous Niangziguan Waterfall. There are scenic spots such as water curtain cave and Baotu Spring beside the waterfall [4].

Guanshan, located 4 kilometers southwest of Pingding County, is one of the scenic spots in eastern Shanxi. The main peak of Guanshan Mountain is shaped like a crown, hence its name. Guanshan Mountain has beautiful scenery, combining Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism in one mountain, especially the Chonggu Guanshan Academy, which was built in the Yuan Dynasty and is famous for its Confucian culture. Guanshan is suitable for all seasons, and there are more than 30 scenic spots to visit. [4]

Kekhes

Kaihe Temple is located at the foot of Kuitou Mountain in the west of Luanliu Village, Pingding County, where the peaks are abrupt and the pines and cypresses are towering. This temple was founded in Yongping, Northern Wei Dynasty (5 10). There are three niches in the temple, namely the upper, middle and lower niches. There are more than 100 Buddha statues, large and small. The big one is 4.4 meters high, and the small one is only 0. 12 meters high. Its carving style and way are exactly the same as those of Yungang Grottoes in Datong, so it is called "Sanjin Xiaoyungang". [4]

Guguan Great Wall

Guguan Great Wall is located in Xinguan Village, Pingding County, Shanxi Province, on the west side of Taihang Mountain. It starts from Niangziguan Jiayugou in the north and ends at the entrance of Baihui Village in the south, with a total length of 20 kilometers. It is an important pass of the Inner Great Wall. Guguan Great Wall is the only existing Great Wall in China that can be tested with stones. It is the earliest Great Wall of Ming Dynasty in China, and the famous Great Wall expert Luo called it "the charm of Little Badaling". [4]
