In the counterattack of Night God, 50 0.95 challenged Sony 55 1.8.

IT 168? Don't you all think Sony Quan Huafu has fewer micro-lenses? Not only Sony is stepping up to supplement the lens library of Quan Huafu Micro-single, but our domestic manufacturer Zhong Yi Optics has also produced a brilliant lens for Sony Quan Huafu Micro-single: 50mm F0.95, which immediately attracted the attention of all fans, not only because of the large aperture of F0.95, but also because of the price of 4,900 yuan! Low price is the conscience of the industry. Recently, Editor-in-Chief @ Ning's Notebook Powder bought a new version of optical 50mm F0.95, and we immediately got the IT 168 evaluation room to see which lens Bisogni's own 55mm F 1.8 ZA is more worth buying.

Why do you want to compare these two shots? First of all, because the price is similar, Sony's 55mm F 1.8 ZA is now priced at 5 180 yuan. Click to view the details, while Zhong Yi Optical's 50mm F0.95 costs 4900 yuan. Second, these two lenses are standard focal length fixed-focus lenses, and fans who like calibration may be entangled; The third and most important point is that the F0.95 large aperture is really eye-catching! Many people think that the lenses of the vice factory, especially the domestic lenses, are inferior to those made by Zeiss in optical quality. That's true. That's right. However, the aperture of F0.95 is in front, which shocked the minds of many fans. You know, the night god is not something that ordinary people can bear. Leica Notilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 APSH costs 77 thousand yuan!

In this case, Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 has the same price and focal length as Sony 55 1.8, but it has a proud large aperture. Can it challenge success? Let's take a test to find out. (Note: Sony A7R for fuselage)

Let's talk about workmanship and feel first.

There is a reason why Sony didn't launch a large aperture fixed-focus lens for Quan Huafu Micro-Single. Technically, it is not impossible, but if the lens aperture is increased and the quality is good, then the volume and weight will definitely not be guaranteed. While Sony Quan Huafu Micro-single is under the banner of small and light, Sony doesn't want to do heavy lens, which goes against the original intention. As you expected, this optical 50mm F0.95 is really heavy, and its volume is much larger than 501.8za.

The material of this lens is solid, all metal. The aperture adopts stepless adjustment, which can smoothly rotate from the maximum aperture to the minimum aperture without a sense of positioning in the middle. It's a little inconvenient to take pictures, so I keep looking down to see if the aperture value is adjusted correctly. The aperture ring has a strong damping feeling and it is quite difficult to turn.

Recently, the focal length has reached an amazing 0.5 meters! Leica 50mmF0.95 and Fu Lunda 50mmF 1. 1 are both 1 m. The aperture is also larger and can be closer, which means that you can get larger magnification and stronger blur. Putting this lens on Sony A7R is really heavy, and my back aches for a long time. Let's enter the formal testing session.

Generally speaking, this lens works well, except that it is heavy and needs attention, the all-metal mirror body is still very textured. But stepless zoom is still not used to it.

Challenge 1: What does F0.95 mean?

As a lens with an ultra-large aperture of 0.95, the imaging quality at the maximum aperture is of course the focus of attention. It should be noted that under the maximum aperture, especially when shooting at close range, a slight movement of the body back and forth will cause obvious focus deviation. Careful and accurate manual focusing is a technical link that cannot be ignored when using this lens. The focusing method I use is peak+focus amplification, and friends with conditions suggest using a tripod to improve the success rate of focusing.

▲ Figure 3: Focal length: 50mm aperture: F0.95 shutter: 1/30siso: 250.

The above three pictures were all taken with F0.95 Such a large aperture can not only bring excellent background blur effect, but also ensure the use of low sensitivity when shooting in dark environment. In this way, the background under F0.95 is absolutely virtual and beautiful enough.

At the same time, we also give a screenshot of the focus area of 100% corresponding to these three photos. Although I have tried to ensure accurate focusing, the focus is still fleshy and the imaging quality is still poor. But what we are pursuing is the charming background blur effect under F0.95, so I put the photos taken by Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 and Sony 55mm F 1.8ZA at the maximum aperture in the same scene below. Let's take a look at the difference of background blur effect between these two lenses under the condition of full aperture. And whose focal length of these two lenses is sharper when the aperture is fully open.

With both lenses fully open, it can still be seen that the background blur effect of Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 is indeed better, but the sharpness is much worse than that of Bisogni 55mm F 1.8. Because shooting with F0.95 aperture, focusing itself is a big problem, and manual focusing is a test of the photographer's skills. Moreover, the imaging quality of large aperture lens is not very good under the limit aperture, and shooting an aperture may be improved. Because of the limitation of technology and price, it is understandable that the lens quality under the limit aperture is not good enough. In this case, the next question is, if the aperture is F 1.8, can its focusing sharpness be comparable to that of Sony 55 1.8?

Challenge 2: The same is F 1.8. Zhong Yi glasses 50 0.95 have a chance to win the prize?

In most cases, an aperture of F 1.8 is enough. So what will happen to these two shots which are also F 1.8? Who has better sharpness? Let's continue to watch the samples.

The above two pictures were taken with two lenses and Sony A7R respectively, both with F 1.8 aperture. When we enlarged the focus to 100%, we were surprised to find that the resolution of the two was comparable to that of the naked eye! Although it's better to take a closer look at Sony 55mm F 1.8, to be honest, I'm quite satisfied with the performance of Zhong Yi Optical.

Said digression, suddenly found a problem here. Although I have repaired the white balance in the later period of RAW format and unified it in Photoshop, the photos taken by these two lenses have obvious color difference! Specifically, the color of Zhong Yi Optical 50 mm f 0.95 bisogni 55 mm f1.8 za is yellow. I don't like this color cast very much. It always feels a little strange.

Conclusion: Under the same aperture of F 1.8, the focusing clarity of Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 is basically the same as that of Sony 551.8za.

But don't forget that the resolution performance of the lens at the maximum aperture is the worst in theory, so this challenge seems a bit unfair to Sony's 55mm F 1.8ZA, so we will use the F5.6 aperture with the best lens resolution to test the next challenge.

Challenge 3: reduce the aperture to F5.6 again. Whose picture quality is better?

According to the evaluation experience, the best resolution of the lens generally appears near the F5.6 aperture. Next, let's shoot the same scene with the aperture of F5.6, and see who has better picture quality in these two lenses.

▲ Sony 55mm F 1.8ZA focal length: 55mm aperture: F5.6 shutter:11/500ISO:100 exposure compensation: 0.

▲ 100% area screenshot

Conclusion: As can be seen from the above figure, when the aperture is reduced to F5.6, the advantage of Sony's 55mm F 1.8ZA is highlighted. Because of the better optical quality, it performed quite well in F5.6, and the words of the building were very clear. The performance of Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 in F5.6 is slightly inferior.

Challenge 4: actual combat at night

Many friends may think that this contrast is unfair to the lens of Zhong Yi Optical 50 0.95. After all, the domestic lens with a large aperture of F0.95 can't have a particularly good picture quality, and many fans will choose Zhong Yi 50 0.95 not because of its good resolution performance, but because of the overall picture charm under a large aperture. So in the end, the challenge we have to carry out is night scene actual combat! To test the ability of this cheap version of Night God.

▲ Spot contrast when the aperture is fully open.

First of all, let's take a look at the live performance of shooting in the same position. Both lenses are fully open. Obviously, the spot of Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 is larger and more psychedelic, but only the central part is round and the edge is oval, which also shows that the edge imaging quality of this lens is not good, and it seems that the improvement of the second generation lens is limited; Although the spot of Sony 55mm F 1.8ZA is smaller, both the center and the edge are quite round, and the quality of the original lens is really remarkable.

▲ night scene comparison.

Let's take a look at the difference between these two shots when shooting night scenes. As can be clearly seen from the above picture, because of the larger aperture, 50 0.95 is obviously more dominant in shooting night scenes, and the background spot is large and psychedelic, and the whole photo is full of charm. Comparatively speaking, Sony 55 1.8ZA is similar.

Summary: If we want to discuss the comprehensive quality such as lens resolution, there is no doubt that Sony 55mm F 1.8ZA definitely has the upper hand, and it has excellent resolution performance in both full aperture and small aperture. It is difficult to focus when the aperture of Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 is fully open, and the focus is rather fleshy. When it is reduced to F 1.8, the resolution increases and reaches an excellent level. This lens has a good effect of shooting night scenes.

As for which of these two lenses to buy, my suggestion is that if you are a novice, or if you buy a lens for work or study photography, then don't hesitate to buy Sony 55 mm f1.8 za; If you have long coveted a large aperture lens and can't afford an expensive Leica, most of the lenses you use are for fun and slow shooting, then Zhong Yi Optical 50mm F0.95 is definitely worth buying.
